The best, but also saddest thing about Dave discussing the decline of AEW is that he can't even entertain the idea that people aren't enjoying the show. This week we got 15 minutes of excuses. He briefly says "it was a good show". As though there is some sort of objective "good", he knows what it is, so we can all just move tf on Many of us think the show is the drizzling shits. He just happens to like it.

A lot! I mainly watch AEW to watch a complete abortion of a wrestling promotion and then hear Jim rip into it is the funniest - and most justified thing. Without the experience of laughing along with Jim at the nonsense, it's not worth watching a bad wrestling show at all.

Mish literally summed up my thoughts on AEW. I was super invested when Collision started and how it truly felt different from Dynamite and how that internal competition could help the company overall. Then TK chose The Elite over his biggest draw and it's been downhill ever since.

Per Wrestlenomics, Dynamite's live night-1 ratings for this week were 680K (0.22 in the key demo). Two weeks ago, the ratings average was a NEARLY IDENTICAL 681K (0.23 in the demo). But LAST WEEK, it went down to 502K (0.16 in the key demo). Now... what could have drawn exactly 178K people away for ONLY 1 week? No.. it couldn't be that one of the post popular HIP-HOP ARTISTS was putting on a HUGE concert during the show, that more than 10 million people watched live? Nah.. must be the Big Bang Theory lead in.

Tony Klown basically took WCW, ECW, TNA and WWE, copied all of their flaws and none of the good stuff. - You have the hardcore element from ECW, but all the kept was the dangerous spots and non of the logic and storytelling ECW had. Dangerous and sloppy wrestling without any substance to produce that cult -like following. - They copied the "ATM Eric" aspect of WCW, along with giving to much power to a handful of favorite wrestlers, along with the venom towards WWE, but without the stars, great shows and competition that WCW had. - The WWE element is this billionaire who thinks he can own people and sign them to NDAs, strips every smaller promotion of their top stars, and forces his plans down everyone's throats, despite everyone complaining and tuning out, because he knows better. - From TNA, well they pretty much are TNA without storylines. Just goofy, over the top skits. Also run by someome who has no clue how to book, but has enough family money to be in charge. It's kinda like if coke came out with a new soda that has that diet soda taste, but 3x the sugar and calories somehow 😂

WWE and TNA are showing how to do a cross wrestling brand. This is something AEW never invented with Forbidden Dork, I meant Door sorry snowflakes. WWE and WCW used to do many cross overs that did benefit both wrestling brands. Know how Bishoff claims Vince McMahon copied him on the evil ceo? Mr. McMahon really made his first appearence a few months prior to NWO Bishoff in OVW, think about it. Cross overs helping both brands, AEW's Forbidden Door has help New Japan how? When no one really watches why would people care, unless AEW grows an audience AEW on Forbidden Door only helps AEW cash in more in half empty areanas.
