I always knew Dave Perry wasn't the greatest gamer in the world, because I've been the greatest gamer in the world since I got my Atari 2600 in 1986 😅 Anyway, In his defence, he was a "Sega Pro" and if you remember, Street Fighter 2 (The World Warrior) wasn't released on the Mega Drive until much later as the "special champion edition."

Loved Gamesmaster. I've never heard of this show before and I'm 40...I don't think I had SKY TV back then. I think the format of the show is probably better than Gamesmaster, but did they HAVE to film it in Bob Mills' garage? Also, did he HAVE to be quite so drunk 😂. His presence in this show just confuses me. Why would you try to appeal to young people by having 2 40 year old hosts, in formal dress, that don't appear to know much about either the subject they're presenting, or youth culture in general. Dave Perry would have been a way better choice of host, if he hadn't spent the 90s acting like the awkward, moody, tortured genius he clearly believed he was 🤣 Don't get me wrong, he's a legend, but he did come across, in those days, as a teenage Morrissey fan that thinks they're above the other 'purile' teenagers lol. This would have been enjoyable to watch as a teen because there was almost no coverage of Games on TV at the time, but the lack of atmosphere in the studio, compared to Gamesmaster, means I'd probably wouldn't have been such an avid viewer. Enjoyed it though, interesting 👍🏼
