I'm a traveling healthcare worker, and we move every 13 weeks. My collection goes with us (as well as our 2 dogs), granted ours it much smaller than yours (around 75 or so). I'll be interested to see how you guys do it, as I'm sure I'll learn some tricks from you. I have large plastic totes with holes in them. I stack everyone in their enclosures inside the bins and secure with bubble wrap in the gaps. When I setup a new enclosure or do a rehouse I make sure I set all the branches/cork with a touch of hot glue so nothing falls over on anyone. I found that once we get moving most of them hide in their burrows and don't wander around. No burrows have collapsed, and I've had zero losses from a move. My last move was from the west coast of the United States to the east coast, and was 4 days of driving. It can be done successfully with planning and a bit of luck. I'm sorry to hear that you're having to go through this, and I appreciate you putting it out there for us to learn from and watch.

Moving is such a pain in the ass but if you look at the bright side its opening up a new chapter and its giving you a chance to take inventory of everything you have. Even in the plastic tubs idk how on earth you're gonna fit them all in a holiday let caravan along with yourselves and your everyday living items. Like others have suggested, maybe post on a local retail/commercial fb group asking if anyone has office/warehouse space to rent out to you on a temporary month by month basis till you can get into your new home. As long as it's secure and powered you can simply set your shelves and incubator up as is and it's good to go. Best of luck whatever you do Dave I hope you don't lose too many during this time. P.s. especially your Jewell Seladonia's and your emerald cockroaches which are my faves ;)

Moving is my worst nightmare, and i dont have remotely close to the numbers of critters you have. And buying property in this country is really really hard. We have tried to buy two different properties in the last 18 months and both were just impossible quagmires of frustration. Best of luck!

Oh my Cosmos! Was there no legal recourse? I live here in San Jose California where we have strong Tenents rights. If there is a water issue that compromises living or health issues, you have proof that you tried repeatedly to have them correct the problem you have legal recourse. Especially if they attempt to evict you. I am so outraged for you! I have adored you and the lovely Camera Lady for quite a while now. Since you had around 2000 subscriptions. I still live in a trailer 4yrs later and still have all my spiders, They have their own room then me, the dog and the gerbil , with 2 parrots shares the rest of the trailer got into bonsai trees lately so currently collecting the different species of them. Really sorry to hear about your situation Dave and camera lady! Myself and my partner have literally just moved ourselves and it was incredibly stressful! So I can only imagine what it must be like for you guys. And my collection is only small in comparison and luckily enough I could move mine and keep them in there current enclosures.
