Hi Dave. I recently saw you speak at BAHACON in Sarnia. I was the guy in the front with tears in my eyes the whole time. You inspired me to retire at 53 and live my life to the fullest. Thank you for that. I hope to see you again at the next one.

Thanks Dave. I'm so glad I got to hear you speak. I wasn't able to in Houston that Sunday AM, although the Sat night meetup was something I'm glad I made. I'm with you. "I feel you" as they say. I hope we meet again.

I can't believe that this doesn't have more views than this. You grabbed my attention with the way you talk to people who do not agree with you Dave. This was way before I knew you had a terminal disease and learning of this fact makes me appreciate your efforts even more. I've met a lot of people who have been struggling with debilitating illnesses of different sorts and I do appreciate you talking about this. Many of these people have been religious but many have also been atheists and the thing to take away from it is that you have to meet the person where they are, if someone is religious I respect that and it bothers me a lot when that courtesy isn't extended to atheists (when people take illness as some sort of opportunity to prozelytize). Again thanks for being a good example.

I’m a Christian. I love you man for who you are. Most Christians would want you to be happy and wouldn’t do anything to wish harm on you. There’s always some crazies anywhere. I am a former atheist. I’m the exact opposite of you. I would hope you’d respect me as much as I respect you. Much love.

Thanks for this Dave. Half my family is born again and it's really disappointing. I was Catholic then at age 18 turned Pentecostal. I've been atheist for the past 35 years. Way to go my friend.

Hi, Dave! You are coming to speak at my college, ETSU, on Tuesday, and unfortunately I won't be able to attend, which is why I sought out this video. Your words here have really spoken to me. I was once a baptist Christian, with some of my family on the extreme fringes of Christian beliefs (flat earthers on mom's side, Jehova Witnesses on dad's side). I abandoned my faith once I came to terms with my homosexuality, and I have since embraced atheism. I am still seen as kind of a monster to my family, and I will never be truly loved by them because of being gay. The hypocrisy of preaching "love everyone" while simultaneously hating anyone different from you is one of the main reasons I abandoned religion. A fun fact about ETSU. Every week, we have a pastor set up in our free speech commons area. There he will set up his megaphone and proceed to preach brimstone and fire, calling every student out for being hellbound. It's is a wonderful message to spread to the youth, that all of them are destined to hell unless they "subscribe to MY religion". I really loved your Anne Frank and Ted Bundy argument. It really showcases the insane hoop jumping that a Christian has to go through to justify their god. I'm glad my school is inviting you to offer an alternative to the Christian agenda that runs rampant in our region. Apologizes for the longer post. I wish I could attend your event, but I am very happy to have been able to catch this on KZbin. Thank you for spreading true love and kindness. Good luck with your battle with ALS. You are a true warrior. ~Kat

If I die and cease to exist before I get my Burger Boy on Monday, I will not know or care. If I receive a cheque for $10, 000, 000.00 and die on my way to the bank to cash it in, I will not know or care if I cease to exist. But as I am dying, I probably won’t be happy.

It's interesting how religious probably overly religious people become the opposite to the same degree if only people actually understood the balance between religious spirituality and the sciences maybe then people would get it religion without science is superstition and science without spirituality is dangerous also if I'm listening to a 12-step meeting don't tell me about your God or your no God tell me how you work the steps I don't need to hear about the debate around that issue

Dave have you ever thought about looking deeper than the Greek theology of Christianity. I don't believe in any of that stuff but found more biblical truth the real Torah come alive. It's not uncommon to see die hard Christians get mislead for years with blinders on. Not sure that I am helping anything by writing this but I am going to follow your story.

The very notion that you have to accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Saviour in order to go to heaven is ludicrous. Think of it logically. Not everyone has read this book called the Bible and thus have no knowledge whatsoever of this Jesus fellow .So according to Christian belief system these ignorant people will go to Hell because of unbelief????
