This annual film is one of the highlights of my summer. There are lots of growing videos but few that focus on varieties. It’s so nice to see the whole plant and and hear about some of the difficulties and solutions. I have had a quite a few yellow centre problems this year and I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’m still trying to get my P Kristobels as pink as Dave’s! Thank you both for your time and effort.

Dave I'm new to Dahlias. What does it mean 7 up, 9 up?
@DaveGillamDahlias4 жыл бұрын
Its a term we use to refer to how many flowering stems we allow to flower on the plant to achieve best size for the classification.
@dollyperry30204 жыл бұрын
@@DaveGillamDahlias How are the flowering stems controlled? Do you just prune at the bottom of the plant?
@DaveGillamDahlias4 жыл бұрын
@@dollyperry3020 the growing tip of the young plant is removed. i have videos on stopping, which is what its called. This makes the plant produce more shoots. The excess stems are removed from the main stem to achieve the correct numbers normally in July.
