I adore his tonal sound, and am infatuated with his "HuLawsian" Jazz ad lib. It's a marvel also to hear how he makes a smooth transition from Bebop to Afro-Hispano Funk-Fusion. Let's check out Jose Valentino (Ruiz) on flute as he does "Moments Notice"; shall we not? Dave:RIP!
