What is Intimacy in Marriage? Sex, Communication, or Closeness?

I needed to hear what you said about prayer. We came into our marriage when I was 19, husband was 22. We are now 36 and 39.I am a Christian but my husband was not. He got saved about 5 years ago, and we prayed together for the first time just a few months ago. We could have never done that just a couple of years ago. We were not at that place where we could. It meant SO much to me to pray with him. We struggle with being consistent in our prayer life, especially praying together. I've learned just how much I need that, WE need that. I'm going to listen to this again with my husband. Thank you for all that you do to help others. It means so much!!

My husband says he wants nothing from me except for sex and he's a narcissist and I haven't had sex with him in 17 months because of the way he talks to me and treat me. It's horrible

My best advice you didn’t ask for: dating isn’t a good way to find your wife. In fact mostly do away with the idea of “looking for” a wife at all. Ten to one God isn’t going to give you what you were expecting, so focus your attention on serving Him, and He will put you in a position where wonderful coincidences will start happening. It might be in the missions field, it might be in a food pantry, it might even be online. The best plan is to not have a plan.
