Season 15, Episode 86 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing some news items concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers that have surfaced since our Wednesday show.
Steelers team president Art Rooney II gave a few more media interviews since our last show so Alex and I go over everything notable from those. Several of Rooney’s recent comments raised our eyebrows and we explain why.
We discuss the state of the Steelers as it relates to things Rooney said recently. We also discuss if and how things have changed since Art Rooney II took over for Dan Rooney.
Alex and I discuss Steelers HC Mike Tomlin quite a bit in this show as it relates to his recent past and future. We both rank Tomlin relative to the other NFL head coaches as part of that discussion.
Former Steelers GM Kevin Colbert is back in the news this week and we explain why. We also briefly discuss the annual Pro Bowl Games, which are now underway.
Alex and I make sure to carve out some time in this show to discuss a few prospects from the 2025 NFL Draft. We also go over the probability of the Steelers double-dipping at the defensive line position in this year’s draft and whether they will seriously consider a mid-round quarterback.
This 124-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap and we also used time at the end of this show to answer several emails we received from listeners.

Rooney and the steelers are not in business to satisfy the fan base. A portion of the set fan base you can’t appease because they’re going to say every move they make is horrible

I would double dip at WR before DL I know that. And I would do what Dave says don’t waste a pick on another RB just sign 10 undrafted FA backs and find a couple to play with Warren. Also I’d take Stafford in a heart beat if The O-line can be better.

Art isn't content... he's realistic. If you know you know. Thinking we should win the superbowl purely by being the Steelers is delusional. We have a lot of drafts to recoup from... we're rebuilding... but our coach is so good you can't tell

Art wouldn’t have let Bell and Brown get injured for the postseason. Totally Tomlin’s fault. Should tripped Burfect every time he came near the sideline. My advice-go 3-4 years losing like the Browns and Jets. No more 9-12 win years forcing us to draft in the 20’s for 15 years.

Yea that’s the point they all drafted QBs and developed them and Tomlin hasn’t. Besides a couple Harbaugh inherited Herbert the rest drafted their guys.

Tomlin and the GMs thought a 3-5th round talent in Pickett was worthy of a 1st round. If we didn’t take Pickett he woulda sat there for another round or 2.

Shanahan did a great job of going from Garoppolo to Lance to Purdy and with Purdy to a Superbowl. That's not happening in Pittsburgh under Tomlin.

How can you rank Harbaugh ahead oh Tomlin. Do you think Tomlin would have quit running Henry and lost that game? That was the worst coached game I ever saw.

I don't think you can put Harbaugh, McDermott, above Tomlin they have mvp level QBs & if you give the eagles coach the Steelers roster he only wins 5 games the eagles have without question the best roster in the league!!
