Dealerships EVERYWHERE, when they had the upper hand from 2019 to 2023, SCREWED their customers just as hard as they could. A couple of things happened...first, and most importantly, dealer markups hit HARD. 5, 10, 20k surcharges. A 35k car became 45k. Second..when the inevitable happened, and cars started being built in quantity, all those individuals that paid 45k for a 35k car were SAVAGELY under water. Screw it..give it back to the bank. Repo's are everywhere, depressing prices even more. Third...for those individuals that sucked it up with a car purchased in 2022, they HAVE to keep the car 4-5 years, JUST to get any equity. If I hadn't put 20k down on my 2022 Tucson, I would be boned, hard. I got lucky to get a very high trade on my 2017 Subaru Outback 3.6R. I held clear title, and they gave me 28k, and sold it to some sucker for more than 30k. Five years old. Ouch.

EVs with the current infrastructure will not replace 85% of gas engines. Right now hybrid engines are a better investment than a EV. Number one charging station are not plentiful and on every corner like gas stations. None will charge a car faster than can you fill a gas tank. So that’s an inconvenience. Maintenance on a EV is brutal when you finally need something done. (Battery replacement! as rare as it is it’s expensive) Two the cost of a EV even though they are less priced than before are still expensive. A Prius is a better buy than most because you get the economy of a EV with the convenience of gas. Until the infrastructure is in place to support EVs it will be hard to be all in on EVs .

I bought my 2020 GMC Duramax 3500 SRW 4x4 For $46k in August 2019 at 1.6% for 48 months. Everything is so overpriced now that I’ll keep it since it only has 36k miles, I used to upgrade every 2-3 years but GM has priced me out of the market.

That is truly unfortunate how the odds are stacked against you. I got out of the car sales business but enjoyed it when I did. I think the average person is confusing the dealership for the sales person. As a sales person I did NOT make that much, 2007 I made 30K my final year working 60 hour weeks. It seems most sales people I meet are still struggling to make 100K.

Is the residual and the money factor good on the 2025 Chevy Equinox? Thinking about leasing one but haven't had good luck with GM vehicles.

It seems to me you are more interested in your own wants and needs than those of the customer. As a side note, it is hard to believe that a company would buy that beautiful p/u for their lot and trade or dispose of it after 1,000 miles. The only reason I can think of is that it must be an advantageous tax credit.

Dave Why were t the 2 trucks delivered as “ house deals” so they wouldn’t count against YOU. Your mana ger could have still given you the commission

If I’m not mistaken you lose the entire quarter is you don’t hit the percentage too. 3 months worth. You can also appeal on global connect

In this case it will just be Sept... failing CSI will cost the full quarter.

New is a waste, everybody has them. A good used manager will bring in high margin units and they aren't building used units.

What percentage of your customers lease finance and pay cash? And if you buy an electric vehicle, *** do you get free charging at your dealership for a certain amount of time included
