I've recently lost my entire wood shop and tools I've collected over the course of 10years working in timberframing to the flooding events in Vancouver. I'm a huge fan of dewalt tools, especially the flexvolt line. It's great to see that DeWalt has made such a huge tool combo with their high end tools. This has everything I could want and use. Back when I was an electrical apprentice I had about $1,200 USD worth of tools stolen and it was the bulk of my tools at the time. All brand name, expensive tools too. Only positive way I looked at it too was that I got new tools and better tools because some of the tools I got were from a kit I bought in tech school. Ended up buying about $2,500 worth of tools. Replaced all my Klein pliers with Knipex and haven’t looked back. I still like Klein screw drivers and nut drivers the best, so I got those. Veto tool bags, name tags, and I even engraved every single piece of my equipment. It was fun coming home to a huge delivery of tools. Whoever stole my tools, I hope they’re using them instead of selling them at a pawn shop. They weren’t even broke in yet or had scars on them.

The laser level is part of dewalts extreme 12 volt line. Totally different from their 18 volt or 54 volt tools. Also notice on the chargers some will say 18 volt and most of their regular chargers will say 18 and 12 volt so they can charge both well actually all three since the 54 volt battery can run as 18 volt and they charge on 18 volt chargers there isn’t actually a 54 volt charger but the 18 volt fast chargers are made for the big 54 volt batteries

The big Hammer drill is the DCF 899, and it is for truck wheels. I mean pickup trucks, not semis. But you need a lot of torque to take those wheels off, and that 899 in your box handles that. It delivers 700 Ft/Lb of torque. Of course, I am speaking of Ft/Lbs and pickup trucks so...it may not be a necessary tool for you over in Limey Land. In any case, that's what that tool is.

They should of left some of the small tools that aren’t used that much. They should add the miter saw and table saw. Flashlight, radio and bag are not as important.

When they do a roadshow or end of financial year 5k plus you get 1000 worth of store credit points. So if you decided to not get that kit, maybe grab another that reaches just 5k, then drop another 2k on more shit in a seperate transaction you’d end up with close to 2k worth of freebies. Heaps good deal

Bit naff they only give you 4 batteries with that much kit. Should have asked the dealer to chuck in a couple seeing as you parted with that much money

Yeah it was a bit rough! They couldn’t give out anything else with this kit as it was already marked as a really good deal

$6500 AUD is worth $4,600 US dollars, that might be why it seems so pricey!

54v? Is that just in Australia? DeWalt is all 20volt and 60volt in US

60 volt max actually operates at 54v. Its essentially 3 20v max (18v operating )batteries put together.
@AdamJames.

You can swap the battery because they are same they just called them 54v. Also most of the European countries use 54v insted of 60v or flexvolt.
