I know that it's shown in the video, but holding against Germany really is ridiculously easy as this Benelux. You have four years to build forts (just go to level 7 in the north!), you can stack entrenchment up to stupid levels, and you've also got Indonesia to suck for manpower. Go to 1945 and you get a free achievement.

If you see the historical maginot line all of the canons and holes where you could shot are facing against Germany, so it doesnt make any sense if germany is defending against a D day that they could use it to prevent allied forces to push through the maginot 😅

The Maginot was actually used to do that by the Germans against the Western front in real life but it should cost something to do it so that taking back a fort is easier if you do it quickly.

As a genuine Belgium main, I can confidently say that holding as Benelux is really easy. I just abandon Friesland, fortify everything with roughly 4-6 forts (two tiles only border 1 tile across water, so only build 1 fort on those; the easternmost tile of Wallonia demands 8-10 forts), and make sure to reinforce hot spots with full org divisions (as to not get reinforce meme'd when my divisions lose all their org). This way, I don't have to worry about that silly issue of fighting across my old forts. Also, I just build my own fighters and CAS. Probably less efficient than anti-air tanks, but it prepares me to go on the offensive when Germany runs out of air.
