I thought it was really cute how the current Ducktales show got Russi to voice the child version of Donald. A nice way to respect the past even when the triplets themselves have new voices. And speaking of their new voices, I think Danny, Ben, and Bobby are my favorite voices of the characters. It helps that they’re all unique now and thus individually endearing to me, but I think the actors really just do their best to inject as much personality as possible into each one.

The thing I like most about Russi's take on the characters is that it's a nice compromise between a quacking ducky type voice and a more comprehensible child like voice. I never really cared for them having the same voice as Donald. Love how they got her to do the voice of past Donald in the Christmas episode of the new Ducktales.

I always get a kick out of louie in quack pack because he sounds like tommy pickles and it males me giggle. I actually love the dt17 voice actors because they are clearly a lot more skilled than kids and they can emote better. Also, if you use teenager voices you have to replace them(like gumball) because of puberty. Then again, I'm heavily biased because I didn't particularly care for disney ducks until this reboot.

I must say, Disney does a great job of finding voice actors that will voice their classic characters for the long haul. They stay with the characters until they die or get too sick to do the voices.

For sure. Donald Duck has only had 2 voices actors (3 if you include Daniel Ross) in his 88 year history. Tony Anselmo is only 62 so he may be going for the long haul. Only thing I notice is his duck voice sounds a bit aged. Then again Bill Farmer and Tress MacNeille (especially with Dot) are going through the same stage for their respective characters.

Russi Taylor is still the best voice for them, at least to me. I was initially disappointed when they announced the voice actors for the reboot, but because I like all of them, I got over it quickly. Then with the Christmas episode when Dewy went back in time and we saw a tiny Donald and Russi Taylor was voicing him was great ~ I love that episode soley for that.

I still enjoy Russi Taylor's take on the triplets but I do appreciate the actors they got in the 2017 DuckTales reboot (Ben Schwartz, Daniel Pudi, Bobby Monnihan) and giving them distinctive personalities. I can agree with most of you not being a fan of the 2017 voices and in all honesty I'm not to keen on casting adult guy actors to voice kid characters it just feels off and jarring especially in the case in the Clone Wars Season 5 Younglings arc where they use guys to voice the boy Younglings felt off putting. It makes me prefer the Latin American voices from the 2017 reboot since they used teenaged young boys in the roles.

It all depends on what their plan is going ahead. They may try to keep David Tennant around as Scrooge. Scrooge and the triplets don’t have official voice actors after Alan Young and Russi Taylor passed away.

@@0deadx21 0deadx21 it's not that there's a "need", it's called adapting the material to a different culture. It primarily dependes on the language because obviously every single language in the world is different and doesn't have the same grammatical rules as others or have the same amount of letters on the alfabet, sometimes the language can even variate because of the region its from too. For example, for spanish speakers (latin americans or Spaniards) would be very weird pronunciating the names as they are if a person doesn't know English, because of the different vowel sounds we have in our language. Same with Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese and all the other languages. As for the region, it's a matter of culture. In Latin America they're called: Hugo, Paco and Luis. And in Spain, they're known as: Juanito, Jaimito and Jorgito. But the language it's still Spanish. The same has happened with tons of characters in animation throughout decades. Things have to adapt to the culture and people is coming for because otherwise it wouldn't be relatable and difficult to understand.

As far as single voiced versions, Russi Taylor's was the best- iconic, because it was intelligible and not too similar to Donald while still having a solid quack to it. I think Donald's schtick works best when he's the only person around with a voice that's nearly incomprehensible- the recent DuckTales even made it a plot point because of the fact that being constantly misunderstood is one of his big frustrations- it's literally a disability for him and the trauma of it has fueled his rage. It's hard for me to pick between Russi Taylor and the Pudi/Schwartz/Moynihan trio- I love them being distinct individuals in style and voice, but Taylor's voice is such a nostalgic take on them.

I like Ducktales 2017 and I hope they start using the new designs for them outside the show. I mean i watched the old ducktales and Without a doubt the new one is better. I mean anyone who has not watched the new ducktales can barely tell them apart. Sadly In Mickey and minnies runaway railway they used the old designs. As for my favorite I like Louie I guess and how he schemes. It is just fun to watch

Russi Taylor does it perfect for them so to say. Clarance Nash and Tony Anselmo’s voices for them is just too similar to Donald Duck but if you have Donald on a tad bit of helium. I do however like the voices for the modern DuckTales series but at the same time it makes them look like their 12 year olds with the voices of 25 year olds. Or am I missing something?

Pretty sure that’s not The Mellomen in either of those shorts from the mid-1960s. According to the book, “Mouse Tracks,” Dick Beals, Gloria Wood, and Robie Lester provided their voices around this period (they sometimes tend to sound feminine in those clips, and I think that’s Dick at 4:24). The Mellomen did perform the songs in “Scrooge McDuck and Money,” which may account for the confusion.
