The A Frame Cabin is coming along nicely even with winter weather we are not slowing down. After spending most of my life in the big city, living a congested life within society's grip I decided to leave all that behind and become more self reliant living a simpler more fulfilling life closer to God. I'm really proud of you Dave! I wiped a tear from my eye on the video you gave your testimony. You are living my dream and sharing my own story in some ways. I am close to 70 and beaten down by life - but I'm okay. I find my worth in my service to others, as it does something that soothes my soul. I have suffered both mentally and physically. Without Christ, I'm sure I would not have made it through some of my experiences, mentally. Still, at my age, I want to buy property and build like you did. I wish I had a wife to help me, but I don't. I live with two dogs. I'm a trainer/whisperer, sensitive in a lot of weird ways. Prayers for you and yours, Dave. Keep the faith. In the end, that's all that matters! Life goes on. And on.

Like how you are involving your children on your many projects. It is great to instill a great work ethic in them while they are young. It is what our ancestors did when they founded this great nation. Someday your children may build their own homes and have their own You Tube Channels. Good Stuff Dave. I like how you moved away from using logs on this one. I really felt for you when you built the main cabin. I know those logs where more than a pain in the butt for you. Glad to see you having an easier time using timber you can pick a lot easier. You're awesome. Can't wait to see this one finished.

I love this build. I'm watching several builds on multiple channels and a lot of them aren't using impact drivers. What am I missing? I've built about 80 decks in my life and I always use impact drivers for framing screws. Please advise.
