Thanks for sharing. In 2009 I transferred to Washington after working as a locomotive engineer in the Midwest for 30 years. Between trips I did a lot of day hiking. The landscape was so beautiful I started carrying a point and shoot camera while hiking, and on the train. A coworker encouraged me to enter one of my photos in the company calendar contest. Because I really had no idea what I was doing I was reluctant, however they picked my photo for the cover. So I thought maybe I'm onto something, and applied the prize money toward my first dslr. In 2015 I had a huge setback when I had a major heart attack while out hiking. It was over three hours before extraction team could get me to the hospital. I nearly flat lined many times but they kept me alive. However the cognitive damage was too great for me to return to work, even with cognitive therapy. So I have used photography as my cognitive therapy. I worked at becoming healthy enough to return to day hiking, even making it up to the top of Mt St Helens. I'm inspired and informed by your videos because you explain the entire process in detail. Keep up the great work!

Dave Morrow, I want to tell you something that comes from my heart. I spend a lot of time on KZbin, Courses, Facebook and Instagram, looking for tips and tricks for landscape photography. To be honest, I have never, ever found someone like you who explained everything honestly. I found your free online videos, including your KZbin channel, one of my inspirations in Landscape. I have a Nikon D810 like you, and I still follow your instructions, and I found it improves my image sharpness and composition, including edition photos in software. Thank you so much, and please continue to teach and inspire us. I believe one day you will become a landscape photographer legend.💯 With full respect Mohammed

In my previous corporate life, I sat through countless nauseatingly boring goal setting classes. Your approach to goal setting and your style of teaching is by far the best and most useful I've ever seen. I actually use, not just the photography knowledge, but also your learning process, in other areas of my life. Thank you for your hard work.

Thanks so much. I'm really glad you found it useful. Most of my decision making process is based on the engineering approach, and lots of ideas from this book: amzn.to/3OMdzRd Always trying to evolve it to make things cleaner. I have a podcast where I go in-depth on that kind of stuff much more: podcast.davemorrow.blog/ Thanks for watching, John.

Signed up last week for your free PDFs. Thank you! LOL! I am that 55-year-old that wishes he had started photography seriously 20 or 30 years ago. After using several brands, getting hands on a Pentax DSLR sparked my interest again in landscape again and now I can’t get enough!

First I followed your outdoor adventure videos and next watched the lessons, then became a pro plus member. Early on I was inspired to take action so at 68 I thru-hiked NZ during Covid lockdowns blogging with only my phone camera. I return after 5 months to prioritise how best to use my time and work out what next. Scary moments yes indeed! This video explains just that. Thank you Dave

Greetings Dave ! Wondeful, useful, instructive and inspirational video, as any of your productions. I always get motivation from your videos, to pick up my cam, grab backpack and go to a near forest, to take some pictures - however, I'm a really beginner on that journey - thanks to you ...

Dave. I just discovered your channel. Love it. You got my attention with aviation. I was a maintainer on Air Force aircraft for 20 years (F-15, F and EF-111 and the C-130). I’ve been retired from that for 20 yrs now. Working in Nuclear power now for 14 yrs as a engineer and trainer. I shoot with a Nikon D7000 and a Phantom 4 drone. I want to master composition and manual settings. Your channel will help immensely with that. Thanks for what you do!

Fear and Loathing!! in Landscape Photography? Nice I have been an amateur backpacking/wilderness photographer for over 50 years now - a little less so when kids came along - but still got out there. Now that I am in my 60s and retired, I can do more of it. I can afford to generate income from my photography when I want. to, not when I need to. Of course, I can't hike the distances I did in my 20s and 30s. (and boy how the. backcountry has changed over those decades!). Back then I drew inspiration from Ansel Adams, David Meunch and Galen Rowell. Now-a-days, I draw inspiration from you. Unlike the many others out there pushing their wares, you tend to share much more. Giving away your videos for free for 10 days just doesn't happen on those other channels. Like you said in this video - it's not all about the money. Thank You. Even though my background is academic science (not engineering), I am always amazed by how organized you are!! I could never be that organized and disciplined - I really am the "absent minded professor". So I am a little envious there. I don't always agree with you on everything, however, I do find your opinions valid (for you). I am sure if you looked at my kit and what I take into the backcountry you would say I was a dinosaur - which I guess I am. However, I enjoy my choices and that's what its all about. Maybe we'll cross paths on a trail some day. Until then, keep up the great work, Dave!! Doug

What platform do you use for your website. Do you use a hosting service where you have to put more of your time into it verus a pre-built template style one? If there is a section on this in your courses could you direct me to it.
