Hard to choose, distance gives you more bragging rights but squeezing a lot of climbing in a short ride would definitely bring in a few extra kudos from a more "in the know" crowd :D

Thanks Tom, I’m not upbeat all the time...but I love riding so I’m pretty stoked when I’m out on the bike. Don’t worry, this channel will remain the same whether I have 10 or 1 million subscribers. That said it’s pretty mental how much it’s grown over the past week, it certainly helps to open some doors but this channel will always be about just having fun riding bikes 👍🏼

Ah up Dave, thanks for a entertaining video as for distance or elevation I don’t really have a choice, I live on the edge of the Peak District so long ride or short there's a lot of up involved, even if I go east to the flat lands of Notinghamshire and linconshire I have to get over a ridge first. Good job I like a climb! Dartmoors looks amasing though, will have to give it a go when the hotels reopen. .

I can never tell you how far I cycled or the elevation. I routinely forget to turn on my Strava app. But I can always tell you how long I was on my bike for! I do it for the Culture not the Kudos! 💪🏾😅 Lovely ride geez, wicked scenery. that Deer was in a bit of rush right lol

Here in flanders/netherlands you dont have much option in terms of elevation, so its always distance sadly enough.

Love the video mate. I’m looking at getting back into cycling as recovery from a dislocated knee. I’m thinking road bike for Dartmoor/road rides but spare wheel and gravel tyres for the likes of halddon and wetter rides. I’ll follow you on Strava under same name and in insta

stunning views there, only place anywhere near me with that sort of landscape is brecon beacons, but still not driving to locations to ride atm. you make 100k look easy.

That section between post bridge and Mortonhampstead is such FUUUNNN! Amazing ride I did a similar one but took Beckaford hill to Hay Tor followed by the ride down past Jay's grave. Kind of hard not to go for Elevation I Devon lol, any decent ride always has a huge climb in it haha. Plus what goes up, gets lots of fun going down ;)

I gotta say I hate climbing, but thinking about the decents always make me want to tackle bigger climbs! (Even though I'm not geared for it 😂) I like distance just for getting lost and finding cool places!

Im in Denmark Dave so I have to go for distance rather than ascent. But dont get the idea Denmark is flat. It rolls. I saw some awful photos of someones hands after an off this week. Get your gloves on 😁

I wish! One day maybe! I work at a closed circuit race track, hiring bikes, event stuff it’s pretty chill. I’ve been furloughed since March so had extra time to put out more Vlogs. I working on making this a full time thing but I’ve got a way to go yet.
