Nobody apparently likes the key of F with this tune but..this is a good arrangement with the chords you’re using.
@DavesGuitarChannel
@DavesGuitarChannel 3 жыл бұрын
F is a nice piano key. Guitars tend to favor the sharp keys. With the capo on one, i fell it captures a nice open sound that compliments the changes.
@jbix909
@jbix909 3 жыл бұрын
@@DavesGuitarChannel it does. The extended (passing) chords were not immediately convenient in F for me...I decided to copy your arrangement - to get used to the sound and using of the extended passing chords in the chorus so that I can figure out new voicings by ear later for any key. It’s quite an interesting addition to the two five one. Which I was looking for other ideas than the basic. I took the capo off as it’s not necessary for this study unless somebody wants to sing in the original key but right now I’m just doing instrumentals of tunes I like. I was just finishing this one and going to look at the BGees you hav3 posted ‘how deep’cuz of all the pretty changes. May I ask what town you live? Just curious.

@@DavesGuitarChannel not really. After driving from Michigan, I had a memorable fried oyster PO boy and imported cold brew at the bay bar/restaurant downtown Boston after getting lost and backtracking a million times on that freeway with no exits. Then I went to cape cod on the LONG SLOW road to the end.............then went on to NY. I live in TN betwixed Memphis n Nashville.

@@DavesGuitarChannel there was a part in the beginning that made me think of that song. then thought it was in a similar vein nonetheless. so went with it Air Supply was kind of carrying the Neil Torch think.

So the fingering for the D# ? Is it a passing chord also? Its the only one I can't get after many replays.
@DavesGuitarChannel
@DavesGuitarChannel 2 жыл бұрын
@@rustyb2338 if you notice the D# is smaller font. That's because it's not a chord but just the note. I am playing octave D#s. First finger 6th fret 5th string, ring finger 8th fret 3rd string and 4th string is muted. Hope this helps.
