Seeing your pairing videos, and realizing how fascinating they actually are, got me fascinated. A coworker was moving last week and gave me my first T, an adult female G. Rosea, for free! Fell in love immediately and within two days, now own two little slings as well; an Avic Avic and Caribena Versicolor! I'm absolutely adore them!

From my old high school Latin, I know that the species name “pulcher” means pretty or beautiful. Fits! I like to imagine an exploring biologist’s delight at finding the first one known to Western science. (By the way, “pulchripes” means pretty foot/leg, another fitting species name.) The moss is such a great visual and functional enhancement to your enclosures.

The plant is a Fittonia. They can be a fussy houseplant. I've noticed you tend to furnish your enclosures with plants that are commonly experienced to be more difficult to keep alive, particularly Calatheas. I think the humidity of the bioactive enclosure must help. Do you find it easy to maintain those plants in the enclosures on a long term basis? Another great video, as usual. A lovely healthy spider. Hi Dave! LOVE your channel! I don't have any spiders but I have a question for you. Regarding the males...I hate to see them fall victim to the females but I understand that is just how it goes. If you get a male is it cruel to just keep them without mating them? Is that their only purpose? Like are they driven to mate and to prevent that isn't doing them any favours? Do they get stressed out of they don't mate? Just curious..will not be getting one as I have cats and live in a 1 bedroom apartment that I like to keep cool always. I do appreciate the warnings you give about the fellows not making it as I don't want to see that but will still thumbs up. Thanks so much
@daveslittlebeasties3 жыл бұрын
Welcome to our channel and yes I believe if the males are left unmated then this will stress them out, once they mature then their sole purpose in life is to reproduce as many times as possible before they die .
