Hey Guys 👋 What a wonderful spider. Very pretty, and was very much enjoying her new home by the looks of it. Out of the light they almost replicate a GBB. Another really nice choice of spider to show us, so thank you. I think Camera Ladies sneeze was the most inoffensive sneeze I've ever heard, actually I'd almost call it endearing. You could record one and use it as a text alert. when I sneeze I'm louder than Pete Samprass serving an Ace. You'd think i'd just been shot. Lovely spider, lovely spider crib. Take care Guys.

Hi Dave That is a beautiful dwarf tarantula. The colots are so pretty. Very nice enclosure. So sad that your pretty orb web spider will pass soon. But she was a beautiful addition to the beastie room. That would be nice if her egg sack did hatch. You will have to get a new for the new beastie room. I hope that the rain will stop soon. Excellent views camera lady. I hope that you both have a nice day. Cindy USA

It's funny how each specimen has their own personality and preferences. My d. diamantinesis has never been much of a burrower and instead makes complex web tunnels, just filling up anywhere there's space above the substrate in its enclosure. One of the best eaters in my collection, too. This species is such a delight!

Even when i I had it in sling vial, it would sit right at the top and only move into its web burrow after I misted some water for a drink. And imo, even though gbbs are gorgeous, these are prettier 😍 so glad I didn't overlook these 😀

I am curious to know do u think that u keep finding her on the desk Bec she is falling off her web? Hopefully 'she' is a female and you will have success with her in a future project! I'm sorry about your orb weaver a sad albeit natural stage of life ... although I'm sure she had a quality life with yourselves ❤ Can I please ask what ratio of potting compost to coco fibre you use? And do you vary it depending on species requirements for tunnelling and water retention/air humidity? I'm not on Facebook/messenger is there a way to message you privately re T's for sale as I would very much like to place an order with you in the future following some home renovations. Hi Dave ,Camera Lady and the rest of you guys. I have a problem: My subadult Brachypelma emilia has had impaction, and maybe she still has it! 😮 When it was at its worst, I put her in an ICU container, where she managed to scratch herself, and made it come out. I then put her back in her regular enclosure, but with new, and thicker substrate in it. She is still not active, but drank some water 3 days ago. Should I put her back in ICU? She is not hungry, I have tried giving her some of her favorite foods, but no luck. I really need a good advice, and quickly. My best thanks to all of you. Jo in Copenhagen.
@I_am_Angerer3 күн бұрын
If she managed to poop, maybe it's not impaction but she is a bit overweight? What makes you think she still is impacted? If she has it, and the method you mentioned worked the first time, I would repeat it. How dry is her enclosure?
@Ujuani683 күн бұрын
@I_am_Angerer I think she MIGHT be impacted, because she has had it before. AND, because she is very inaktive. Sort of sleeps all the time, isn't active.😢 I have misted her enclosure, and will continue to check on the humidity.
@Ujuani683 күн бұрын
Latest news: She has actually turned a bit more active, dueing the last couple of hours. I'll keep her in her regular enclosure, and then try to feed her again, in about a week.
@daveslittlebeasties2 күн бұрын
I personally dont like the ICU approach as I think it produces more stress than good , breaches often will not eat becouse generally they are over weight to begin with ? many are only active during the night so this would be the time to check for activity , check temps too most are kept too cool for mu liking maybe warm her up ?
