Your demons will surprise you... As an INTj my demons are Fi and Se. I started doing art as therapy. I expected the work to be like me, Ni-Te, structured, logical abd masculine. What came out is the opposite, Fi-Se cutesy, feminine and adorable. I really like it but until now I didnt know this is who I was also. I feel like just doing art and seeing a consistant pattern in that art you'll see your demons and it will not be what you expected you could ever create.

You made a GREAT point. I'm a writer (or at least trying to be that) and even if i'm not entirely sure my demons are probably Ti and Ni, both get MADLY described in the things i make, mostly sci-fi and dystopian stuff. I recall talking about something like this with my therapist and we mentioned an italian singer-songwriter that used to put a lot of tenderness and emotional depth in his lyrics, but at the same time he had a quite raw and rough relationship with his wife. That's all, it's a good point

Ni/Ti SC/P(B) here. Agreed, ISTP is very inspiring, when balanced. My dad is Ti/Se in his 40s. Last decade he hated my cats, now I can occasionally get the sight of kittens laying on his chest while he sleeps on the couch. Such a dramatic change! He's really learning to build Fe connections with people, which coupled with his Se abilities to navigate the world and not be a freak about conversational caos makes even me, an observer, envy his people-skills sometimes! He's always been very private with his problems and pains too, even physical pain is something he still hides, and I'd love to see you guys talk more about "how T-doms hide pain/fear", aka bottling emotions (I do it too, multiple instances, guess it's kind of a habit... I think this issue is even more present in types with demons Blast and/or Play). Awesome video, as always 😎👍

It's definitely not easy being an ISTP (especially as a woman) unless there is ongoing adrenaline/adventure/Se activity and/or major/life threatening crises. This is possibly the only time we feel peaceful and alive (or if totally consumed and laser focused in a project or special interest (on our own). We have to consciously switch into the 'real world' of people and emotion, if you catch us off guard (usually will happen) it will be a lot of effort to process stuff and switch into Fe mode, even after a decade of working on it (and it's easier to just save that for two or three people, one at a time!)

I'm an ISTP and the 'mission' thing is so true. The Navy guy would have felt life's 'little missions' whether he joined the military or not. We have this internal drive to just push past everything and get something done. The missions aren't always clear, but we always need to be on the move mentally and/or physically. Once something we're passionate about becomes 'solved' we can lose sight and start spiraling into a dark place and it's usually people-related things that draw us out. Then we just go back to being the awesome Chads we were from the beginning (but, at least we're happy again). lol

After a long journey starting off thinking I was INTJ, then INFJ, finally figured the way out of all my double and triple upside-down confusions: I'm Ti/Ni. For the longest time I thought Ni was my top function because I'm sleep-first and I thought I was fine on emotions... because I absolutely locked those away to the furthest pits of my being so they never bothered me. Therefore the real issue became all these Se things popping up that I had to Ti solve... By myself... Because I'm refusing to use Fe under any circumstances... Meanwhile I'm going through this guy's same story of having completed my mission of "finish my education" and then not getting a job (because the team projects traumatized me because Fe bottom function) and then when I finally tried to get into the regular job life I'm not getting through the interviews because I'm just refusing to get into this Fe manipulation crap that you have to do and I just want them to hire me on my merits just as I am (I'm only now realizing how Di this is). So then I'm depressed, anything that comes up is too much to handle, making me think even more that Se is my weakest function. Only once my life finally got moving a bit again I very slowly began to realize that sensory chaos isn't all that difficult for me to handle at all, I can just kinda juggle everything that pops up, albeit still reluctantly because my emotional life is still a mess because deep down I'm a masculine Fe that's being rejected by the tribe on everything I attempt, unless I completely submit (which masculine Fe hates apparently), which of course would lead to a feeling that I might as well be dead because the tribe sure doesn't care if I were gone and who am I even Ti problem-solving for if it's not them and I'm just miserable. Now I can at least do it, but it's all on a bitter auto-pilot because I'm not getting any shred of motivation out of my emotions. Anyway, skipping ahead a few years, I now know which personality type I really am now and what the "problem to solve" is. Big challenge is going to be to do it without trying to cheat my way around it with the other three functions like I've been doing for over a decade. Thanks for your work in personality types and producing these videos. It took a couple of years but you really helped me solve it. The final breakthroughs were: 1. Having very little expressive emotion, and a big focus on likes and hates, means masculine F. 2. Sleep and consume as top two animals means Di must be in the top two no matter what. 3. Logic always gets priority. Emotion needs permission to join in. Therefore: The Di has to be Ti. 4. I don't behave like a masculine Fe at all... So it really is the bottom function, not tertiary. I guess I turned out to be an entertaining puzzle for myself.

I'm 19, and Ive already been through the crash it lasted for 5 years and I would argue it was a build up that happened since I was born here's why: I did write a whole lot more but my first time but I accidentally deleted it lol. -Getting to know who you are is the first and most important journey you should be on and it last throughout your life - allegory the cave perfectly describes how everyone is basically living a lie. Maybe not completely some more than others. Most people are so used to being inside the cave the don't try to get out of it and will never see the light, and those who do see the light have two options, either stay in the dark cave where you are used to being in, bc it's safe or make your way to the light no matter how tuff it is. Those who do try also have two options either keep trying until you are fully out or give up. But once you get past the cave exit you will realize that the cave isn't the only thing in this world and your previous understanding was completely wrong. The best part of this journey is once your out you will no longer view the world the same and you will be able to see how other people are still stuck in the dark. You will need discipline and have the ability too accept bc the light will burn at first. It goes alot deeper than this, but for short you will need no bullshit, real world examples. I personally used the youtubers: 1.jullian himself. 2.owen cook free tour 4. And tykwondoe to name the a few And remember it starts with you taking the time for yourself. On a side note where can I get y'all typing services? I'm %100 sure about my myers briggs type but I want to know the exact type.

I've come out the other end of realising I've been in a very narcissistic family, I can cut ties and be totally ok with it as long as it's for my well being and my daughter's. What I'm big time struggling with, is my identity. Who am I? What's my purpose? What could I be doing to make a difference? I also just can't get past the resentment I hold about it and over not being who I am over all these years and being ok with it. This video choked me up, 100% resonated with me. Apparently, INFPs' purpose in life, once we get our heads out of our ass*s is to remove ignorance and bring wisdom to the world. So here are my 2 cents to your touching comment. 1. Get therapy or read psychological resources to help you address recovery from narcissism as a child so that you can apply them to your current life to overcome whatever underlying issues it might have caused such as shame, avoidant attachment etc This will unburden you and free your mind to be happier internally. 2. Accept that due to lack of self knowledge you missed out on contributing in the past, but as long as you are alive you can begin any challenge so start whatever you want to do today. As long as you are alive anything is possible so look forward. 3.You will discover your purpose through "doing." Basically just start "doing" whatever might peak your interest and this will show you what you suck at, what you excel at , where you can improve etc and your purpose will be revealed as you attempt to improve your performance.

5:04 That story sounded a lot like Dennis Rodman (ISFP) when he left Detroit Pistons. Before he built a character of him being loud, obnoxious and extravagant, he hit hard when in 1993, he almost attempted suicide after his first real father figure, the late coach Chuck Daly, resigned after 1992 playoffs with the Detroit Pistons. The team was imploding. He really lost himself, badly. Even after he was saved by Craig Seager, built that character just to overcome his social awkwardness, climbed the mountain again with the Chicago Bulls, he lost himself again when Phil Jackson retired, and the team disintegrated.

@StanTheWoz2 жыл бұрын
My guess would be that M-Fe would be harder to move but also harder to ignore. The pattern they're talking about here with the FF ISTPs suddenly realizing they have no mission and no idea what they want to do is something I would not expect to happen to anyone with M-Fe, even at the bottom. Masculine functions are hard to ignore, you feel their force and have to work around it even if it's a demon.

@@StanTheWoz Good point. From someone with M-Fe demon ISTP I can state that point seems accurate. I’ve come back to the idea of being a female ISTP… after considering over and over again that I must be seeing it up side down and I desperately didn’t want to be the dummy putting myself out there claiming to be something (cool) that I’m not… I’m expecting baby boy no. 4 in a couple of weeks and my crisis after finding out, was to not be able to hold my position at my job, where I’m the one and only of my kind and doing great. I think the female ISTP story might often be to do with the identity struggle of being a mom and just feeling completely mal equipped for that and out of place, because that’s certainly not where we will climb to number one so easily. the emotional stuff being so foreign and empathy being so hard… I hate all the typical mummy stuff and having to go to toddler groups and play grounds again is a horror to me… all that Fe that meets you there. 🤯😱😵💫 I just can’t do it… and it’s always where I think I build up my mountain of tribe hate… just not getting involved, drawing back, … but I will try and get better at it this time round.

I think I’m a combination of INTJ INFJ and ISTP since I studied psychology, do visual arts, did kickboxing MMA worked at a Nursing home and am now getting into Information technology and Coding skills 🤔

Interest/skill doesn't determine type. Any type can persuade whatever they want. But we talk about phycology, so it's more of analyzing what's in their mind or how their mind work.

Honestly you sound like someone with high consume having trouble narrowing down things and not afraid of trying new experiences. You also seem to want variety and like to try different things. So most likely Ne or Se as saviors(top two functions) Do you have trouble doing things you do not fully understand? Do you hate to skip steps when solving problems? When coding do you like to understand everything in the code before moving on to new problems? If so probably Ti. If you only look as coding as means to an end or combining different "black boxes" to get a result probably Te. There is no way i can type you from your post but gonna bro guess anyway 😂 probably Ne/Ti

@@jake_with_the_BIG_snake yea I ‘Ni crack binge’ KZbin podcasts and documentaries and have watched so many tv shows and movies plus I probably listen to the most diverse songs aswell lol. So Ni, Te, Fi, Se but I’ve started to do a lot of soft skills so my FE is improving rapidly. My Year 12 subjects were English math visual Arts biology chemistry and I know alot of History and philosophy. I’m actually embarrassed by all the useless stuff I know lol haha since Ni is my primary function.

@@jake_with_the_BIG_snake also I’ve always been a big thinker and never fretted over the details ironically I always overestimate what I can do because I’m always coming up with new ideas and plans instead of being grounded in reality.

@@rajunaidu7751 the Ni crack binge you are referring to definitely sounds like it's either Se or Ne, since they gather. Ni is organizing and narrowing down data down to patterns. High Ni tend to like blast (share info with tribe) over taking in data for self. I am lead consume with Se savior so i recognize those binges but I mostly take info related to physical reality or useful facts. If you say you don't seem to be that grounded in reality and you don't fret over details it makes me think that it is definitely Ne / Si over Se / Ni (They are on axis). If it's first or second savior i dont know. If you get weird about people according to objective personality you are either INTP or INFP if you have Ne savior If you get weird about things it means either ENTP or ENFP. You could also figure out if you prefer Ti over Fi. Ti is "what are my reasons for doing this". Example: i live in a rough neighborhood so i want to learn MMA for self defense and confidence Fi is "do i value this or not without getting logical about it" Example: i saw an MMA fight and somebody roundhouse kicked the shit out of his opponent and i think that is so cool. Now i want to learn that.

My father is an ISTP and my ex-husband is an ISTP. They are not the best type, actually. Unless you just popped a tire.
@lailaisaidit22232 жыл бұрын
Well, not all ISTP is the best some actually work their a$$ off to develop their se and fe but some choose to be immature and rude to other. The point of this vid is to show that, when ISTP finally develop their fe and learn to be more healthy mentally and physically, they become the "best" mbti type.

Despite that, I'm sorry that you have to deal with unhealthy ISTP and i wish you find happiness☺️.
