The Lake district is my favorite part of England. I think I stayed at Prince of Wales Hotel in Grasmere, many years ago.😊Those piles of shale looked a little slippery and dangerous. Glad you made it ok. 😊😊😊👏👏👏

Almost 20 million people visit the Lake District each year now. It has also gained World Heritage Status fairly recently...... If you watched all of the video, it's what you *don't* hear that brings many people to the Lakes.......

From Deb in USA…I’m a new subscriber. Raised in the Air Force, my family was stationed in England for 3 years in the 60s in the Gloustershire/ Cotswold area. Britain is a bottomless pool of things to see and we did our best from Lands End to John O’Groats. But we never made it to the famous Lake District, so I was delighted to see this. I love love your channel. Thanks for letting me walk down memory lane, like with the Bibury video. I could just picture my family walking there years ago.

I do enjoy your walks. we left England in 1964 not having seen these beautiful places in the north and midlands. I do miss the short introductions that you provided when I first discovered your walks - where you started from, the time of year and difficulty. for some reason they don't show any more.

I have wanted to travel to Britain and walk the many trails there, but it is not likely to happen so these virtual hikes are fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing your walks and giving us the opportunity to experience the trails virtually. I make my own videos of trails I hike in Ontario, Canada which my mom enjoys very much. Some of them are very planned, sometimes they are very spontaneous. I don't strictly follow a plan, if I see a path that I like.. the plan goes out the proverbial window 😅 Most of the time it pays of though.

All videos are shot with the filters, The brighter the day the stronger ND I use. I think it makes a massive difference when editing. Particularly with the sky.

Hmm that's really hard to say. It fluctuates wildly, Some parts of the countryside are hugely expensive, while some very cheap. Its fair to say prices rise with the demand, The more desirable the area, the higher the cost.

A fair few people do say hello, as my mic is direction it doesn't pick it up 90% of the time. I also am focusing on my camera so never really establish eye contact with most people, I think they are being respectful to the fact I am concentrating on filming :)
