Cheers dave, I had the pleasure off living there for a bit and it has and will always be the best time of my life spent there. Thank you. : )

wonderful! wonderful! from mossy mountains through rolling farmland to thick forest, all in forty minutes! i’m so envious! 🇬🇧 is human scale, 🇨🇦 is some kind of mastodon scale. we can drive five hundred miles or more and see nothing but farmland, or nothing but tundra! thanks for a wonderful sunday drive, dave. :)

Don't sweat it Hellie. There is something about feeling so small in a wide open landscape. It changes your whole appreciation of time, (your perception slows down and stretches out), and scale.

majestic expanses are thrilling. one definitely gets a feeling of the cosmic divine, outside mortal humanity. but one can also have feelings of insignificance and aloneness, which can feel crushing. either way, one is moved.

I assume the lack of trees in these rugged mountains is just because of its elevation being above the tree line. But I wouldn't have guessed this landscape would be in the UK! Fascinating and beautiful!

It’s mostly to do with the sheep! It used to be covered in trees before sheep farming.

Perfect; beautiful scenery and no major road traffic - so peaceful. Even more enjoyable, having watched this once, it’s more fun to watch it at 2x speed (especially the bends.) 🐨🇦🇺

Nice...one of my favourite drives when I'm up that way. On the main road I can often imagine the look of shock on the faces when they suddenly see a double deck bus coming the other way. Noticed something odd I've never seen before around the 30m mark. 40mph speed limit marked on the road on one side and 20mph on the other. Never seen 2 different limits on the same piece of tarmac before?!
@DavesWalks10 ай бұрын
it marks the change in road speeds. 20 becoming 40, and 40 becoming 20mph.

What were you driving? Would it be proper scary in a motorhome Width:2.13 m Length:5.90m?
@DavesWalks5 ай бұрын
Just a normal car, yeah I wouldn't want to be doing this road with a motorhome! Could be done if someone is very experienced with driving large vehicles, but its always a bit of a risk.

This is a great combination Dave. Magnificent rugged scenery and an interesting driving experience on narrow, windy backroads. I'm a touring cyclist myself and would have enjoyed the ride. Thanks for showing patience and giving that group plenty of room. We appreciate courteous drivers. 🚵♀️🚵♂️
