Pimp knew how to use a drum machine. MPC is a music workstation not just a drum machine . Pimp used the Roland R8 drum machine.

I remember David had the MPC 4000 in the "Rubberband Man" video before or damn near when it came out. He also mentioned the 1000. I was using the 2000XL and 1000 at that time in '03-04... Never got the 4000 but messed with my homeboys once or twice.... Loved the ASR-10 and SP-1200 but always been partial to the MPC.... Had that E-MU MP7, Akai midi keyboard and the 2000XL as my main tools... Shout out to Mr. Banner

I remember that too. I was in high school when that video dropped. I always wanted one MPC 4000 but it was too expensive at the time and I had no money at the time. I was using FL Studio. I just bought the 4000 a month ago. I’ve owned the 2500 and the 1000 but I traded them in. I also have the ASR-10, which I owned for about 11 years now and I still have it to this day. I also own a MPC Live, which I have for a year now. David Banner became my favorite artist/producer at that time in the early 2000s and he’s one of my influences. He also produced one of my favorite songs which is Thug Holiday by Trick Daddy. Thank you Mr. Banner for giving us great music for all these years. #Salute
