Remember this game so well. Great touch and finish with the foot people said he couldn't use... He was underrated tbh by a lot of football fans. Greatest crosser and diagonal passer of a ball ever imo. Immense free kick taker too, and could even dribble when he needed to.

Beckham-- a very good player with great moments. Nothing more for me. So many of his crosses were cut out in this game. He was too precise at times. But when his magic came off. Those moments were special.

I think his mind was elsewhere, frankly I don't blame him.

I remember watching this game live and thought Beckham was terrible the whole game. He’s my childhood hero and he had some good moments in this game but the majority he was shocking. This was the season that was the final nail in the coffin before he left. He was playing like this most of the season.

I mean…he just had an injury. The recovery process goes differently with different players. He was great for Madrid in his last 3 seasons and was, statistically, deemed a better playmaker than prime Ronaldinho at least once.

Why the trouble music. Especially when the goal happens.

See the two girls on the screen at the stadium during the moment of silence before the match? That's Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, who were murdered in the town of Soham in 2002. They were just 10 years old. Both of them were big Beckham fans and he dedicated his goal in this match to them. That explains the tragic music.

Would have had an even better game if the real Neviile was behind him.

+Tommmmo92 I used to give P.Neville stick but only because of the 2 late penalties he conceded in his career vs Arsenal in FAcup semi-final replay 92nd minute and the penalty that knocked England out of Euro2000. But really apart from that he was so much better than the unbelievable amount of shitty 1-footed full-backs you see nowadays, he never had a problem with either foot whether it be simple passes, long balls, crosses or shots, just like Irwin etc...(Irwin was better though) but I get so frustrated these days watching so many players (mostly naturally left-footed players and more noticeably with full-backs but I could name loads in other positions) who can't play the game at a 360degree angle and are forced to always pass back or lose the ball instead of making a pass with their other foot to players in better more advanced positions. Plus P.Neville was good this particular season for ManUtd, especially in central midfield when Keane and Butt were out injured he filled in there well against the likes of Arsenal winning battles with Vieira where it was important for ManUtd to beat them at OldTrafford in order to start closing a gap and eventually beat them to the title.

Again the myth that Gary Neville improved Beckham game.Neville was an average footballer

dcvbhtrdf so true, the amount of full backs: Clyne, Walker, Valencia etc who have to stop and do that pivot thing rather than play a left footed pass is unbelievable, it’s a technique that needs to be coached out the game, I don’t know where it has come from.

Mediano ? O cara era especialista em cobrança de falta , cobrava pênalti , escanteio , fazia lançamentos , chutava de fora da área , batia bem com as duas pernas , driblava razoavelmente bem e ect !
