Poor guy missed a few rounds of golf learning all that crap for the benefit of our humor , amazement and education although from listening to many of his lectures I wonder if he reads at about 50,000 words a second with a photographic memory.

Considering his age, he must have some sort of photographic memory and must have some technique on how he consumes, retains and also understands the information. Truly scary.

@@RootinrPootine I wouldn't see a photographic memory entailing superb oratory skills (I.e not needing notes), because its one thing having lots of knowledge and another thing putting that knowledge together into a good speech, paper etc.

@@michaelleppan9960 well you said “retains”, and to that extent I think you or I could do what he does if we had the interest and work ethic he does. That’s the technique-desire. Beyond that, photographic memory (if that even exists) wouldn’t change things that much. I mean, we all have photographic memories in the sense of remembering images better than anything else. But being a student of antique history, I’m sure he could have taught himself the only memory method that actually works: the mind palace method. But again, he’s not memorizing things verbatim or he wouldn’t even bother with notes.

@@RootinrPootine True, but I guess what I am separating is the retention of raw facts with the articulation of those said facts in a professional way.
