excellent tutorial!!! now david blaine does a second routine where all the cards become aces and the jokers are in the pocket. Do you know how he does that second part?

Did anyone else notice on the peformance he was holding the queen face up but yet he turns it over but the queens face is still completely visable
@robertwiegand99273 жыл бұрын
Yup, he needs to work on the turn overs. And hide it better and not do it so many times. Over selling a move is basically telling the person you are performing for " hey, I am about to make a move " and overstating that they are normal cards is a dead give away they arent normal cards.

Great tutorial but van u do it without a gimmick csrd? Instead using double ang single lift moves to get th same effect? If u can I definitely would like to see it...
@ArgelRen3 жыл бұрын
Of course you can do Three card monte without gimmicked card. There are plenty videos of Three Card Monte on KZbin which specifically focus on non-gimmicked cards.
@kevkal2 жыл бұрын
You can do the 3 card monte with 4 cards, but you’ll need to learn the elmsey count which is a difficult sleight-of-hand move
@kevin_nagle7 ай бұрын
@0:47 you revealed the second queen right here
@riostyxplays2 жыл бұрын
Anyone complaining about the turnovers, I’d recommend adding some Juan Tamariz style patter. First flip: “Look you say I have 2 cards, it’s only one card! See one card, not two.” Then make a joke of the 2 card shuffle. “This is 3 card monte we need to shuffle.” (Do the 2 card shuffle) pause for laughter. “WHERE IS THE QUEEN.”

Trust me in person you won’t even need to do all that it only looks weird on camera but In person nobody notices

So what if a spectator wants to check out the cards???
@TheSleightDoctor10 ай бұрын
Blaine's version, which he didn't actually originate, uses ordinary cards and no doubles. It's also done with the spectator holding the cards in their own hands. I typically leave them with two jokers, but any other two cards that *aren't* the cards they've been watching the whole time, will also work. It's widely performed by close-up magicians all over the world, and takes no special skill other than bluff, bluster and timing.

You made this tutorial more confusing than it needed to be. When explaining a trick you have to put yourself in the shoes of the person who is watching. Obviously you never reviewed this video before it was uploaded. Otherwise a good trick.
