He worked with a local Canadian Band called Polarity, I would've loved to hear if he had changes his way of doing things, as this band is VERY Indie, not backed by a record label etc.

I love that you seem to be on a quest to interview everybody associated with Thrak. Probably a quixotic quest given how prickly Fripp can be. But honorable all the same. And I really can't know too much about that record.

You are having an important discussion about creativity here.. I find that there's a philosophy to pragmatism and there's an urgency and drive to having an edge that comes from one's background. I deal with this as someone who produces (we call it curating) in the visual arts as well and when I work with famous artists you see this extra edge and acuity for something they want and they just wont settle for something that's merely good or like something else. They just aren't satisfied with that. I tell people I curate art like music producers like Glyn Johns produced.

Warren’s comment about the focus on the cleverness of music really struck a chord with me. Burt Bacharach talked about the danger of being enchanted by a bar and losing sight of the bigger picture arrangement. So much loop based music these days and not enough space for real creativity to flow.

So Warren, it looks like you need to reach out to John Leckie now ! I think that one will need to be planned as a three-parter to go from 1970 (Tape Op on George Harrison 'All Things Must Pass") and the 50 years since then.
