On the bass is Mark Plati, he's using the slap-pop technique with great effect. Instead of using plucking fingers, he slaps his right hand thumb on the string and uses little fingers to 'pop' it on the lower strings. Easy to explain, not easy to master - for example, watch Level 42s Mark King

Imagine having the imagination, creativity and talent of David Bowie and being able to recruit a veritable who’s who of the best musicians (Garson, Campbell, Dorsey, Russell, Slick, Leonard, Plati) to faithfully execute your vision and bring it to life. I'm just sort of happy that he left the world on his own terms, having managed to record the entire Blackstar album. I can't imagine a better conclusion to a musician's life and career than Blackstar.

There are 2 bass players for this song . I don’t know the guys name . The girl plays with Lenny Kravitz when he tours . They are all sidemen ,which means they don’t play for one band 🏪. They are hired usually to tour or maybe play on a record .

I just love how David Bowie holds himself together, so calm, so relaxed, so good looking even at age 55,, I always thought his blood line was German but it's Irish/ English. Still one of a kind, his humble little dance moves just down right cool!!!😜💃💃👍👍🌟🌟🤩🤩😎😎

This was literally the first song that made me fall in love with this man. I remember when I first heard it, I had it on repeat, non-stop, for probably about a week. It was just so different from anything I had ever heard before. So this song definitely holds a special place in my heart. Absolutely tremendous voice and artist. He's forever going to be in my life. ♥
