Imagine having the imagination, creativity and talent of David Bowie and being able to recruit a veritable who’s who of the best musicians (Garson, Campbell, Dorsey, Russell, Slick, Leonard, Plati) to faithfully execute your vision and bring it to life. Its pure magic. That final jam with Garson’s solo at the end is clean, high energy, and unforgettable. A legacy like that is some measure of immortality in my book. Thank you.

This was literally the first song that made me fall in love with this man. I remember when I first heard it, I had it on repeat, non-stop, for probably about a week. It was just so different from anything I had ever heard before. So this song definitely holds a special place in my heart. Absolutely tremendous voice and artist. He's forever going to be in my life. ♥

i knew when i heard it....there was nothing like it before ...and i immediately doing the same...i could not stop listening to it.... the musicality is beyond so anything else ....instantly one was hearing a genius's work ....on a cassette ..... ashes to ashes ...funk to funky..... all time low...those guitars weeping....its unreal for that to get packed into a melodic line...

Ashes to Ashes was the first song and video of my king David Bowie that I ever saw. I fell in love in his music instantly and will love it till the day I die. At my good and my bad moments. RIP legend

I still to this day cannot believe he's gone. Grew up with his music, saw him live in 87, 90 in Edmonton and again a last time in 2004 in Calgary. RIP Mr. Jones. Deeply missed.
