Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZbin, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZbin. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZbin, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

Important Roles: He played the lead in “The man who fell to earth” and Merry Christmas mr. Lawrence”. He also played the title role in the Elephant Man (Broadway)

He played an alien in The Man Who Fell To Earth, a vampire in The Hunger, a WW II prisoner of war in Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, Tesla in The Prestige and Andy Warhol in Basquiat. And as you already mentioned, the Goblin King in Labyrinth.

IIRC, Bowie wrote this after playing at one of the first Glastonbury festivals. He later played there again in the year 2000. This is such a great song to sing your heart out to 😊

The fun part of listening to Bowie’s albums is in the transitions! The changes! He loved experimenting with music! Pure art!

"I don't know who The Spiders From Mars are" Perhaps the full title of Bowie's next album might help - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars".

Bowie's early stuff is my favorite stuff from Bowie. He kept recording and acting well into the later part of his life. He released an album only weeks before he died. And he played Nikola Tesla in the excellent film The Prestige, directed by Christopher Nolan.

His album 'Blackstar' was released on his birthday, two days before he died.💔 I agree, 'The Prestige' is an excellent film...Bowie was amazing as Tesla.

What a great time to live, my hero Bowie. For all the artists, eccentrics, the strange and alternatives - he alone made it ok back then to be ok and cool. Rest in Heaven's Love Bowie. Loved all your concerts.😍🤩❤ Thanks for a great reaction and to whoever requested. "And these children that you spit on · As they try to change their worlds. Are immune to your consultations. They're quite aware of what they're going through"

I'd heard Bowie before this album was released. However, this song and the whole Changes album were what, as an older teenager, really turned me on to him. It was clear that he was an exceptional talent.

David had just started writing songs on piano instead of his acoustic guitar. It's a reflective song about and It also touches on Bowie's penchant for artistic reinvention. Ziggy Stardust, Alladin Sane, The Thin White Duke - all his stage personalities.

That song hit me so hard when I was a very little kid, but of course I didn't understand it until I was older. Great interpretation and wise words at the end, Shawn.

Well done. Appreciate hearing the classic studio version of Changes as well as watching/hearing Bowie spice it up a bit live. Best of both worlds

Shawn, I end up tearing up in MOST of your reactions, but this one had me with tears streaming down my cheeks! I had never seen that live performance, that I can remember.....and I just loved it so much!!! The song itself is a "timeless 70s standard" to me, and never gets old! I really REALLY enjoy when you are involved enough to make certain "connections" and I really enjoy your observations and comments! Fantastic reaction request! Thank you both!!!

Elton John used a stutter in his Bennie and the Jets song, and used it beautifully. The Spiders From Mars band was the backup band from his next album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars. An absolutely incredible concept album, a must to hear. Other songs to check out: Fascination, Somebody Up There Likes Me, Lady Grinning Soul, Aladdin Sane, The Jean Genie, Rebel Rebel, Let's Dance, China Doll, The Stars (Are Out Tonight), TVC18... I can go on and on, honestly!

Excellent reaction, thanks Shawn!😊Loved your commentary! Maybe the stutter reminds you of The Who's "My Generation"? (Wiki: "Both songs have stuttering vocals and similar lyrics..."hope I die before I get old" versus "pretty soon now you're gonna get older"...) The Spiders From Mars were Bowie's band during his Ziggy Stardust period. Rick Wakeman played piano on the other songs on 'Hunky Dory' too, including "Life On Mars," and Mellotron on "Space Oddity." Bowie was in at least 23 movies, and had a leading role in quite a few of them. I love 'Labyrinth'...another of my favorites is 'Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence.' In 1980 he starred in The Elephant Man on Broadway, to rave reviews.
