I'm a 14 years old girl from Germany and I love Bowie's music. I never was on a David Bowie concert but I have a story to tell: The half - sister of my dad was never a big Bowie fan but she was on a concert in cologne in 2003. She was there, but totally stoned. Still, she noticed a lot and said Bowie had an aura like 2000 headlights and a really incredible stage presence. She told he played amazing. She saw so much of the show because she was sitting in the VIP area and was very close to the stage. She was so lucky. As I already said, I love David Robert Jones and I think he's one of the best musicians of all time.
@annev59324 жыл бұрын
I agree with your dad's sister. I saw lots of concerts and his aura and energy were through the roof, out of this world. But you are lucky too: you are so young and yet you can appreciate and enjoy his music!

That is a beautiful story - I wish I could read auras! Bowie is the best. His newer music is just as captivating as his classics, he never ceases to amaze me.

14 and a fantastic taste in music,I went to see “The Spider Tour” when I was 14 in Manchester..... my first concert... Toni basil was the dancer and choreographer,also I saw Terrence Trent derby and Alison moyet as Bowie’s warm ups... it was amazing... I was still in care then so to see such a legend inspired me to always have music in my life and go to as many gigs as I can.... well done lovely,Bowie would be proud of you... did you know that Lorde (singer of Royal) is David’s goddaughter and helped her into music... (so I hear anyway) what’s your fav Bowie song?mines either the laughing Gnome... and Hero’s (also Hero’s and Bowie helped to bring the Berlin Wall down) and star man.. aww there is to many that I love... and remember Music is the Answer 🦋💓✌🏼

Great music. As a person some of the things he did are really really so selfish and lacking any empathy that when I came to know about this, I did no longer feel he is a legend`. Not in every aspect to say the least. I mean firing one of the bandmembers per phone on his wedding day because he dared to ask for more salary (many months before that day btw) when he found out new musicians of the Spiders from Mars got much much much more. I mean: what kind of person are you when you remember that and feel you can get your "revenge" by doing that on what should have been a party. By phone. And he had more of these things and it seems almost always when it was about money. No. Not a legend for me.

Last year I bought a campervan and "ran away". It was scary but I was determined not to go home. It was also awesome at times. I bought a Best of Bowie CD to take with me - I was a regular fan, so some songs were new to me and this was one. The campervan started playing up and I would think "it's just me and Bowie". I'm back at mum's and I cry listening to these songs. "Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles I'm feeling very still And I think my spaceship knows which way to go" 😢❤😊 Thank you David Bowie xxx

@Talorc MacAllan No worries man, I get you Luckily the only relative ive had whos passed was someone i wasnt close with so it didnt affect me but my heart goes out to you man 😔👊 I hope you're doing great man But yeah it does feel like a part of you has died when David did I only got into his music because of the news on that day but even so, I still felt like I had lost myself even when all i knew about him was his iconic lightning bolt look and a few of his number ones.
@thinwhiteduke43244 жыл бұрын
@Talorc MacAllan Sadly I'm only 15 so I was never able to see him in concert or love but these are great, man- especially Scary Monsters. I feel bad that you lost two people who meant a lot to you but I hope you'll be able to get over it :) Lows a good album too. Think my favourite might be The Next Day though Aladdin Sane's close too. Still haven't gotten around to Blackstar since Lazarus and Blackstar make me sad as hell- can't imagine what it's like for you. Every now and then I'll just be spaced out thinking about Bowie and remember his death and then that night I'll have a dream about watching him on a deathbed, hurts alot but I'm glad he's no longer suffering, and I'm glad he didn't live to the pandemic because it would've been even worse for him.
