I am still in disbelief that I was able to see him in 1978. I was so young. So much was lost on me. But it was amazing. And then again, in 83 for Serious Moonlight. And then again for Sound and Vision. Such a vocalist. His voice, his control, his ability to adjust on the fly to what his voice was doing that night. The emotion is unparalleled after David Bowie spent many days and weeks with FDNY members in the wake of 9/11. - thank you, from FDNY E58, my dad was there in audience with other first responders. They’ll never call themselves heroes, just men and women fulfilling a job. But not a day goes by where I don’t recognize the heroes all of them were. Many no longer with us sadly.
