So, I'm late gen x/early millennial (birth year 1986). I've heard this song my whole life. All of Bowie's other singles too. Grew up on Labyrinth. Always regarded Bowie as an eccentric performer and interesting/supremely influential songwriter. And that's it. Never a huge fan. Never a paying customer. Never a live spectator (regrets there). It took me all this time, all the way up to my 37th year, working on a blue collar job site, with a radio blaring classic rock hits, to take a second to notice the shining pocket of gold in this song. The drums man. The drums. This is a drum performance that deserves appreciation. For what it's worth.

Very smooth ghost notes and accents. Stuck in the pocket like a quarter back. 10/10

Great video! You did a great job with the sound and engineering, as well laying down the rock solid groove. I have always love this song, and the drum part. It’s a great example of a straightforward beat that fits the music *perfectly*. Thanks for giving us a visual to go with it.

This is drumming. Tight groove. Play to the song. 10/10 I have more fun playing in the pocket than nailing any fill.

Awesome to see a black man playing an instrument. I get get sick of sampled music. I miss all those old school Motown cats that could just throw down. Why the fuck do people think Prince was such a beast? You hit that very well sir. Keep it up.

Okay okay we get it, you can play all the songs perfect. if only you would show us how to do it, "slow it way down" or write it out, or both,... Slowly show us lick by lick, what you're doing so we can play it too, that's what we want, & why where watching, just watching you show out is played out., Isn't it about time you take it to the next level and show us how to do it? Not trollin, it's called constructive criticism 👈🤨

Yeah, I ain’t doing none of that shit. You’re talking to the wrong one like that. FOH guy
