For me David Cassidy was and still is a multi-talented, charismatic and magical performer with a unique, breathy and passionate voice. He sang from his heart giving to each and every song a special feeling. Thank you so much for sharing this video and for helping to keep David's legacy alive.💖🥰😻😍

True , I'm straight but I bet he was the most beautiful person ever back in the 70s . I was 13 in 1971 and remember girls being obsessed with him I even got the Cassidy shag and got the looks from girls in Jr. high 😉

A 57 plus year career that began way before a four year run in a tv show. David Bruce Cassidy was a singer, songwriter, actor, producer whose career spanned decades. He was also a humanitarian who helped so much in his lifetime. He was a good man. Thank you Help Save The Music.

@@qso3566 he got his first start in 1960 in the chorus of the LA Theatre Group’s production of The Pajama Game. 1965 he starred with his mom Evelyn Ward in the LA Theatre Group’s production of And So To Bed. I am 61 and I still have my Partridge family album and still enjoy the music. I gave away most all my other albums of that era, although I did not own many. David was a real talent both as a musician and an actor. I ordered the DVDs of the Partridge family and my family enjoys that too. Timeless.

What gets me is growing up in that era people & friends told me ....no called me David Cassidy cause i had a somewhat close resemblance of him but what i could also do was sing like him but back then we didn't have impersonators & people wouldn't accept that sort of thing if i had of tried, cause they would say that's what i was doing & not acceptable.
@NancyDYork2 жыл бұрын
Your right he was underrated. A lot of record company, movies people Etc. They just thought of David as a pop singer Keith Partridge & wouldn't listen to his music or check out his true acting ability.

@@deborabump1618 Yes! The songs on David's Album were some of the best music ever written and recorded only no one heard any of it, it was never released in the US. We are trying to get the music David recorded as a single artist out for all the world to hear so people will take who he was seriously. He wasn't a Teen Idol--he hated that label. He was a serious rocker that had more talent than the industry gave him credit for. He deserves to be finally heard and hopefully earn him the accolades he should have gotten when he was alive.

@@helpsavethemusic the industry should do a tribute to him on TV. Or a challenge/tribute on American Idol. Let the kids see what they can do with his amazing songs! A lot of very interesting takes on his later songs from “Hey didn’t you used to be” like my favorite ‘One True Love’. Or have them try to do something as great as he did when he was forced to sing everything around 2 minutes because of commercial breaks! (pop songs of that period were no more than 3 minutes)Perhaps a theatrical documentary? An interview with Beau on 60 minutes? How about a dreamed you stage version of the early period as a pop idol à la Mamma Mia where the audience could get involved. His songs, because I think of TPF songs as his, were so easy to sing with (some of Sound Magazine and DayDreamer and the first TPF album). They’re perfect for an interactive musical. It practically writes itself! I hope you and all of his fans are successful in bringing this wonderful and talented musician and singer back into the spotlight.

Probably the most photographed person from the ages of 20-25 in the world until Princess Diana came along. She was pretty. But he was prettier and he was a consummate performer, worthy of an EGOT.

@@helpsavethemusic an EGOTISTICAL is an Emmy (TV) , Grammy, Oscar and a Tony Award.

EGOT not EGOTISTICAL. Autocorrect did that. Regardless, if DC hadn’t been pushed aside by Hollywood after his meteoric rise to international fame and then his famous 3 year break, he was definitely capable of earning all 4 awards. Maybe even a BAFTA.

@@helpsavethemusic good for you! If you need any help let me know. I was a DC fan as a kid, but recently decided to look into his whole life. He had a great life but he had so much unfulfilled talent. And he needed people to help him get sober and stay that way. He had demons as we all do, but to leave us at 67 was not right. He must be recognized for for what he was allowed to give us.
