Thank you DAVID CRONENBERG for directing and making this amazing movie. It is the best Canadian horror movie in my opinion I also liked your scary role in the movie Nightbreed

I read the original script to this. What had happened she had lost her large intestines and only had a part of the small intestines left. So Dan Keloid had did skin grafts on her hoping that the grafts would copy intestine tissue, but it grew into a long snake like creature that made an opening under her arm pits. So basically she had the same intestines as bats, meaning she could only digest blood.

I always wondered how and why this procedure evolved into what Chambers' character was afflicted with, but I guess it's more to do with the allegorical aspect of disease and dissolution of the body than anything else.

I had just watched the full movie of Rabid last year round Halloween and was blown away by the story, little did I know it would give birth to the fast zombies from 28 Days Later and World War Z!! I can't believe Marilyn Chambers wasted her talent for nothing after Rabid because I thought she was amazing in this movie and she could've done more big-budgeted mass-marketed movies until she passed away in 2009. :( when the Rabid end credits music played, it kinda made it really sad.

The seemingly trite notion of art being subersive is perfectly contradicted by David Cronenberg. Great interview.

I don't believe him when he claims that he never saw Marilyn Chambers in adult films. He's from Hollyweird and we all know how they get down out there

If you knew anything about David Croneneberg you would know he is the furthest thing from "hollywierd"... seriously, do some research.

I stand corrected........ you're right, guys. I'm sorry. . . . I still believe that he watched a Marilyn Chambers adult film before, though. I don't believe him when he says he'd never seen any of her films
