the affirmation thing really kind of flipped my way of thinking, which is now no longer fear-based, but solution-based. When I was younger I would call myself fat and worthless in order to make myself feel bad enough to lose the weight. It only started to work once I decided to call my body sacred, and amazing, and healthy because then I would have no choice but to treat it right.

Whenever I say I am beautiful, I am actually not thinking egotistical, but as if God has reminded me of beauty and how it engulfs us all. I can be both...amazing..it's a choice for sure. I have been both.

God.. I know that whole part about the partnership where you pay for both of you. Never pay for both of you if you only have enough money for one. It's a partnership. If your partner doesn't want to pay, dump them. I'm still trying to financially recover over a year later.

My MIL hasn't had a job in over 15 years. Instead, after her second child, and her coming twins, she decided to quit and be a stay at home mom. Once her kids were old enough to take care of themselves (11ish) she got cancer. Obviously you can't blame her for not working during her many treatments...But having four kids (thankfully I took one under my wing as my BF XD) is a lot for ONE person to afford. Basically, they couldn't afford anything. No internet or phone, barely any food. Sometimes no heat in the winter. His father told my boyfriend, "You don't know how lucky you are to have a woman who works" I find that kind of insulting. It wasn't luck. It's very hard work to be in a partnership. He will never financially recover, but at least the mom has guilt tripped her other children enough to continue paying for future bills...makes me sad...

for audio, this edit was great. But i find the visuals edits, slightly jarring. they're aggressive and blatant and soooo many of them

I’m wondering if the video is corrupted. Because some of the cuts I noticed were with them moving but the audio was fine.

Hmm this is weird - can you email growingup@onomy.co with a screenshot of what you’re seeing? On our end everything looks totally fine but we want to make sure to fix anything that could be happening on yours!

the SMART phone is a spiritual handicap....not to say it isn't useful....but it is.. when i go on nature walks i leave it off unless i want to take a photo. even when i see animals i leave it off to not scare them with photography, but connect with them for real.

when i was younger i used to take so many photos, i had many cameras growing up. i thought iphones were great because they could take nice photos, but i might just have to invest in a camera again :)
