@AArz-mq4ts3 жыл бұрын
True but then she to me she sometimes lacks sympathy in certain fairly fucked up topics and doesn't see why it comes off wrong, I'm specifically thinking of trisha & Moses catfishing debacle and the Instagram vs reality vid. I get the point of the video but the argument of Ethans only calling her a twinkle because of the touched up photo is not working, its still bodyshaming. The whole point of why Tana may have felt the need to edit the photo is because people comment harshly on women's bodies and Ethan was playing into it regardless of his intent. Still love her though and would probably not even watch the podcast if she wasn't there as a voice of reason haha

And he’s trying to play the “devil’s advocate” card when clearly he believed everything he said. Which I don’t understand why anyone would need to do that for someone who’s clearly a toxic person anyways. You don’t always need a different perspective especially when it’s one that’s dismissing and disrespectful towards people. He also liked to mention that he’s an advocate against abuse and was just ignorant on the topic, but said he prepared his statements and clearly understood the situation. You cannot be an advocate against abuse when you’re using abuse-apologist tactics. Also, that literally doesn’t excuse anything. A lot of people who are outspoken against something are hypocrites. Also also, why is he an advocate when he says he’s ignorant about these topics? Maybe let someone who understands what they’re talking about speak instead of taking up space spreading your hateful comments. He outright accused a sexual assault victim of being a liar. That’s fucked up.

the thing with ab saying its normalized, its all jokes and everyone does it to each other... is the entire issue. clearly david has made a scene where boundaries are crossed, framed as jokes and he does take it to far. puts things in that people say not to . so yes david is still guilty of all that trisha is saying even if she joined in on it. there's some videos i saw of him just surprising her at the airport and she clearly isnt happy to see him, doesnt want to be filmed and he is just being an annoying golden retriever intentionally trying to bug her. like the fact he normalized it isnt good. just because the people get victimized by him like nick go back and forth of liking him, not liking him and feeling hurt does mean that what david created as normalcy still wasnt ok, they're literally just trying to cope. and not to mention that he doesnt pay anyone in his vlog squad and only gives jason 10 percent of the podcast. thats awful. thats elitist hollywood greed right there. I also don’t agree with the sentiment that it’s, “Sitcom-ish.” It’s not really a script, it’s real people, real relationships, real shitty situations he’s putting them in. I mean I used to like David too but there’s just no defending this stuff And yeah it probably felt light hearted to you because everyone had to laugh, but at the end of the day it’s not your relationship being played with, it’s not you being mocked for your race, it’s not you doing things without consent.
@Grace175243 жыл бұрын
Reminds me of how Shane Dawson said the same with his stupid interviews with "controversial youtubers", but him "seeing the good in people" was him not wanting to believe Trisha who was a better friend to him, and to support and defend Jeffrey. :/ I understand if it's hard to see bad things in your idols but you should always stand on the side of the victim.

AB thinks David is some kind of naive child. He's falling for Daviud's persona on the vlogs, like come on these are real people who he pushes the boundries with and at times openly bullies and abuses on camera for money. David knows what he's doing, Jason knows what he's doing it's fiucked up. AB just does not get it and should really have thought about this more and researched a bit about bullying/abusive relationships before attempting to defend these people who are basically just treat people badly on camera and get paid for it.

David is using his popularity to be mean to people. But these people sign up for this, they do it to be popular. If my friend was constantly being mean to me he would no longer be my friend. But these people stick around to get paid or for youtube popularity. It would be different if David was picking on innocent bystanders.

@@1spidog it’s not “literally anything”. It’s simply believing a person who was there and was trustful enough to recount their experiences only for that to be used against them. It’s also extremely disrespectful as A.B. and Trisha work together and know each other personally, but he would rather side with a very calculated and edited persona he sees 4:20 minutes of (and even then, David is the one filming a lot of the time) in a video.
