Been following David Ford for around 10 years and in that time been to see him live over a dozen times... If you've not been to one of his shows, seriously, get yourself to one! He's superb. There's simply not a songwriter quite like him.

***** I'm a big fan of Aaron Lewis. I agree he's a great song writer; personally, I think his songs are often a bit "samey" and simple, but there's no doubting his talent. I've always been a big Staind fan too, arguably his best work is in their archives too.

Lack of marketing budget! I have been following Mr Ford for the last 12 years (I'm one of the obsessive collectivists who owns everything he's ever produced) and I love him. But you take one of his albums to a record label and they'll be so bewildered by the diversity of styles (waily stuff, heart breaking ballad, gravelly bluesy one, angry political rant) and they have no idea which audience to sell to. He gets by on word of mouth and loyalty. We're the lucky ones who managed to find him :)

One Of THE greatest artists i have ever had the pleasure to listen to. With the over-commercialization of everything that people think they like, we will sadly probably never see david on top of the charts, but, thats okay, real people still love real things. David keep doing what you do!.

Very cool song, David Ford is seriously accomplished. Frankly I don't understand how one could not see sheer beauty in this piece nor the profundity considering the lyrics as well as Ford's use of multiple instruments which he played to create this. I definitely shared this with numerous friends of mine. Cheers

This is pretty bad ass. Like when your high and get stuck watching the kitchen sink drip into a pot for an hour orchestrating a symphony in your head. And think to yourself, I should check out how the music in the sink'll sound more often. You kids should check out Lichens; he builds an orchestra with sampled vocals as well.

I feel like David Ford is a secret fire hydrone that only i hqve marked as my territory. Lol. But, i know many others know his other worldly/pure musical genius as well. He and Kurt Cobain are the two main players on my personal proverbial, musical Mount Rushmore. I have three C.D.s of David, have to see if he has new ones. He was serenaded me through some of my darkest saddest moments. Therefore he feels like loving family to me. Translation, "Long Live David Ford, and his bohemian music.

Does anyone know exactly what someone could use, program wise or what have you, that'd allow you to record/loop collected bits of music and sounds? I just want to know how he did that, and what he used to loop and stack the different sounds and record them on. I'd really appreciate if someone knew and could tell me.

What I like to point out here is that he would need someone else to control the tracks he recorded. You could hear that the back vocal is fade out and fade in again, while he has no control on any consoles. Well, unless he did a post-production which I'm sure this might be the case. I suspected that he recorded it on multitrack as it wouldn't be possible to fade a certain track if it was done on the same track all over the song. And to add a new track should have delay him for few seconds.

TastemyAtrocity I never treated you so mean Like that’s a reason to be proud My love, I know it’s been so long but I just thought I’d call around And with that smile that’s says, “yeah well, ya see… I knew you’d wait for me…” I can hear you say, the day I fall down at your feet “Go to hell, just go to hell” Well I thank you for understanding, I won’t be long And for the things around the house you left unthrown And hey, I know it’s been so long but I thought I’d call And I just kept crawling back in time just to hear you say, “Go to hell, just go to hell” My sweet indecision, do you think I’d wait around for you? Just go to hell Cause I don’t deserve you, you don’t deserve this so tell me, hey, “Go to hell”
