I love music but can't play a note! I always wonder how those that can produce such amazing sounds and make it look so easy when in fact it's almost miraculous. I guess this guy just had a bad day in the office. Felt for him!

Che poi lui e' nome noto del punk mi pare, ma qui veramente se l'e' fatta sotto... David Gilmour però dal cenno che gli ha dato (quasi di incoraggiamento prima di partire) lo aveva messo in conto...

Who is this guy on bass. Did he get fired right after this performance? He got ahead of himself then just stopped. WTF? Im a bassist of over 40 years, and love what Pino did on the album. I play it for my buddies from time to time, everyone knows its great when they hear it played well. Pino always gets the love for his work as he should.

You'd probably mess up too if you were given a week or two to learn an entire night's worth of music, backing numerous musicians across multiple genres, and with little or no rehearsal.

Naw the solo for this song isn’t all that hard to play for any half decent player. Now playing it exactly how pino did on the album with all the little nuances and such, but the end of the song is much harder to play than the solo. With that said I love playing the solo for this song. It’s awesome

DON'T KNOW WHO THE BASSIST IS BUT HE SHOULD'VE REALLY STUDIED THIS WONDERFUL SOLO MORE THROUGHLY. PINO PALLADINO WAS A STUDENT OF JOE HUBBARD, WHO WAS A STUDEN TO CHARLIE BANACOS OF BERKLEY. IT SHOWS IN THIS SOLO. I HAVE SOME EMPATHY, ALL OF PIN'S SOLO'S ARE TOUGH !!!
@4ctmam Жыл бұрын
There probably just wasn't enough time, the whole performance is underrehearsed, clearly the circumstances didn't allow enough rehearsal time. Also, I'd appreciate if you refrained from using all caps in your future comments on my channel. Thank you.

@@4ctmam It's quite likely this was the first time all four of the musicians actually played together. This was a big "all star" concert with several different guitarists each playing two or three songs, and most of them were backed by the same rhythm section, including David Gilmour. So Michael Shrieve, Kenny Aronson and Chuck Leavell (all of whom are top flight musicians) probably had just a week or two (maybe less) to learn a dozen or more songs that they'd never played before. And as you point out, they probably didn't do a proper rehearsal, they may have not even gotten much of a soundcheck.
@Kohntarkosz5 ай бұрын
That's Kenny Aronson, who is a top flight session man who's played with musicians and bands. He played with Dust (a great hard rock band that also included Mark Bell, aka Marky Ramone), then he was in Stories (who had a hit called Brother Louie), followed by time with Derringer, Foghat, Billy Squier, Billy Idol, Dave Edmunds and others. Earlier in 1984, he was in the band HSAS, with Michael Shrieve (the drummer in this performance), Sammy Hagar, and Neal Schon. The album HSAS put out, Through The Fire, is a fantastic, criminally underrated record. I'd like to see how well you do when you've got to learn an entire night's worth of music, backing multiple musicians, across numerous genres.

Bass player obviously doesn't know the bass solo, which is key in this song. That was terrible.

I'd like to see how well you'd do when you have to learn a dozen or more songs, by various musicians, across numerous genres, probably in the same of about 1-2 weeks, and then have to play them with almost certainly little or no rehearsal. Kenny Aaronson happens to be a top flight bassist. By 1984, he'd already logged 13 years as a professional musician going from playing with the bands Dust and Stories to logging time with Foghat, Derringer, Billy Squier, Billy Idol, Dave Edmunds, Bob Dylan, and many others. Kenny was in the band HSAS, with Sammy Hagar, Neil Schon and Michael Shrieve, and the album they made, Through The Fire, is a criminally underrated item.
