Thank you so much for this Glenn. This was the first patch I have programmed into my brand new GT-100 and what a belter! Perfect to set me off learning Shine On (and my way around creating patches on the GT-100). One happy bunny here.

I just discovered your website and wonderful guitar patches, especially for the boss GT-10 and 100. I do have a question, though: Certain sets of patches are for 4CM or straight into the effects loop. But how should I be wired for the other patches where those methods are not specified? Thank you, Kevin
@GlennDeLauneOfficial10 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin, those other ones are designed for direct recording are direct into a PA or monitor system.

If there's any single video out there that will convince me to get the GT 100, then this is the one. I did re create that sound on sound with multiple delays and a couple of ernie ball vol pedals, but was too much to transport around. Now with this, its much easier Thanks for an awesome video

Well, I have known about Glenn for some time. What brought here was a desire to learn how to create a freeze or hold function on the GT 100. Learned about this capability only recently. I had actually been looking at other pedals to create this effect, most notably the EHX Freeze . But just couldn't convince myself that a "one note" pedal that isn't even stereo was worth it, even at a modest price. Not really expert in programming the GT but this video has been a treasure trove. Nonetheless, I decided to support Glenn in a small way by buying this patch. The patch and three other Gilmour patches cost me a grand total of about $5.00 and the patch works and sounds great. Glenn, you saved me about $120.00. In sum, I have so many musical and other things going on, programming the GT has not been on my radar. However, I am going to study some of Glenn's other instructional type videos. The guy is an A+ patch developer, teacher and musician, hands down

Glenn, I've listened to the first 2 & 1/2 minutes of this video so many times. I have it on my bookmarks tab and when I need to refocus and calm my mind I click on it. Your tone is so good here. It's better than David Gilmour's and if anyone doesn't believe me they should listen to this and then immediately listen to David Gilmour's tone on this song and they'll see. After listening to your sound here, his sound feels like going from high definition back to standard TV. Great job!!

Another way you could also do this would be to have two preamps and have say, channel B as your sound on sound... in there you could move the 1000ms delay into this block and move the foot volume just before the delay.. Channel A would be your normal picking guitar channel. Great video Glenn. Really appreciate the time and effort you put in to share for others :)

Hey Bro.Glennie, you my friend, are a serious breath of fresh air!!Not only are you an amazing perfectionista but also seem to be one of the humblest Top Shelf Guitarist i've ever known..and just for your information..i'm heavily influenced by Neil Schon, Pat Travers, Robin Trower, Lee Ritenour, George Benson, Earl Klugh, Eric Clapton, Pat Metheny & Jeff Golub.But yes i have always adored the awesome tone & flavor of David Gilmour & Mel Galley (Trapez) & Sir Jeff Beck..however..NONE of these Cats would ever be interested in sharing their High Quality Programmes such as you have Brother Glennie!!I still only use my Line6 xtLive Floor Console and these Line Six folks were actually idiots to place that damned Micro Window Viewer for this Console as when i'm doing a show ..i literally have to use ESP to know where each patch is placed when i'm in the heat of Tempo & Meter!!Ha!!Anyway, i am today one of your newest fans and wish you'd come up with your own Original Group (and hope you'd hire me as your lead vocalist..if you ever find yourself in need??My vocal flavor is Blue Eyed Rock?Soul much like The Isley Brothers & Sir GlennHughes & even some Stevie Wonder songs.TakeCare "Mr.Sonnyfales" (Bangkok)

finally someone with a demonstration Bluesy sound without distortion - this is music...I am always cringing when demos contain distortions - the cleaner sound bring more dynamics for the product.....distortion always hides defects.
@GlennDeLauneOfficial11 жыл бұрын
Yes the only difference is the High EQ setting. When using the GT-100 with my Direct to amp settings I found that I had to turn the high EQ setting down to around -6 or -8 to get the amp sound right and not shrill or annoyingly high end ear splitting sound. But for direct recording that setting is too dark. It's a simple matter of adjusting it for the different applications. I only adjust the High EQ setting. Everything else always remains the same.

Hi Glen, I love your videos on the GT 100. I just bought mine and have been going through the manual and some of the videos. Didn't know if you might be able to help with a certain sound I am trying to get. I would like a patch that incudes distortion, unison sound and wah. Glenn,I think you're playing the 4 note chiming incorrectly. I may be wrong too,but I do it with an open G while playing the Bb on the D string,the F on the B string,the open G and the open E. I really think it sounds more like how David plays it as I have tried it both ways and one day I had this epiphany to start it on the 6th fret of the D string. Not a huge fan of TAB,so I won't be doing that. Go ahead and try it both ways and see what sounds more chimelike.
