David Hidalgo is a very nice guy. I had the pleasure of spending some time with him a few years ago discussing Los Lobos and some guitar talk and he is a cool cat. I am happy to hear of the new album and that these guys are still making great music. Thanks Norman and it was good to see David.

Not only is David an absolutely incredible musician, but he's one of the nicest, funniest, most humble guys you could hope to meet. I've had the great fortune of hanging out with him and the other Lobos over the years, and they're all so mellow and down to earth. 🤘🏽🤘🏽

Saw Los Lobos for the first time in 2002 or 2003 when they came to Italy, Tom Principato opened for them and I couldn't tell which act was the best... I remember Cesar Rosas played a lefty gold top LP, after the concert I took a photo of that guitar and I still have that photo.

He’s always been my favorite. I saw them on a Saturday Night in a cave in Tn without Cesar they played a brilliant show quite different from their usual set. I remember Dave and a Steve were apparently having a few shots between songs. I think I had a few too

Los Lobos is a great American band who deserve to be in the RRHOF. I remember getting David to sign my accordion in Denver. He walked up, saw it was signed by Flaco Jimenez and shouted "FLACO!" His booming voice startled the hell out of me. Wasn't expecting that. Everyone in the band was very friendly, beautiful people.

I have no idea how Los Lobos are not in the HOF. I doubt they really care but it is a shame. Their shows are awesome! A great mix of styles and nice dudes too.

Hidalgo is a great player. But I have that exact same guitar and I wanna tell ya, they are incredible. They are incredibly versatile. If you turn it up those P90s roar but at lower volumes it is a warm expressive jazz box. You can find them relatively cheaply because they made quite a few of them. If you ever get a chance to play one or buy one don't pass it by.

I can't make it with a Gibson lacking neck binding, and necks are mighty slim on something like that...but I must say...a friend had the thick one...ES125CD...the bridge pickup was the screamin'est P-90 in a bridge position of any P-90 guitar I have ever encountered...hated the neck, but that pickup...!!

saw Los Lobos a couple years ago with Louie Perez and Stevie Berlin. the rest of the band were younger guys. still a great show, and everyone played their asses off, but David Hidalgo carried the night. choice covers too
