i'll tell you why david hyde pierce's homosexuality doesn't bother me. unlike some homosexuals, they very much flaunt it and make it a very big deal, broadcasting to everyone that they are gay. however, david hyde pierce doesn't talk about his sexuality and keeps his personal life personal!!! he is phenomenally funny on and away from frasier. absolute legend.

There is a David Hyde Pierce stand-up routine that must be floating around the internet, although I have never seen it on KZbin. It's from the Montreal Just for Laughs festival. He recites an obscure poem written by a 19th century Ontario furniture manufacturer and cheese enthusiast named James McPherson. All the dude's poems were about furniture and cheese. The cheese ones were the best. I paraphrased one in a public speaking contest in grade nine English class. I stammered like a fourteen year-old virgin, but still got some laughs. This is my memory of the poem. It wont be word perfect. The Oxford Cheese Ode We all adore ye, Queen of Cheese Sitting gently at thy ease In the sunshine, and the breeze. Thy fair form no flies dare seize. In the morning, we will go. Through the sleet, and through the snow. On a wagon. Eastward Ho!. To the public fair in Toronto. What was my point? I did recited that poem in public ten years before David Hyde Pierce at the Just for Laughs Festival. So where's my Cheers spin-off? I'm just kidding, even though George (Norm!) Wendt played the title role in a 1980s BBC production of Oblomov. Yes the 19th century Russian novel who only Russians and pseuds like me give a flying fuck about. About a lazy aristocrat who is so self-pitying that he never gets out of bed. His equally self-pitying thieving,lying, pilfering lazybones serf manservant, Zakhar. A 19th century Russian aristocratic Manic Pixie Dream Girl. And the dull as dishwater German staff officer she eventually marries because Oblomov is just too lazy George Wendt was an inspired choise to play a character like that. I've never managed to see this production, but it's out there somewhere. I've lost my train of thought. Masters of Atlantis and The Master and Margarita are also really good. Slava Ukraina!

@xMy3Dx@1949ktkat Actually, David won the Tony for Best Actor in a Musical only once, in 2007, for Curtains. He recently directed his first major show, the new musical It Shoulda Been You, which is headed to Broadway later in 2012. He's never stopped working.

I wasn't complaining about pre-teens, I'm just saying that certain celebrities have fans who are at least that age. It's not as if there are children saying how much they love Johnny Depp. They'll usually know him by his character, where as pre-teens will know his name by then. I WAS "complaining" about (in a lighthearted way) how the best celebrities are harder to "realistically" fantasize about due to sexual preferences and fanbase numbers.
