David, this is beautiful. The fugue of No. 7 has been a lifetime favourite. Thank you.

I wish the camera had stayed on Jalbert's hypnotizing hands for the entire 3:37, and particularly for the fugue. Gorgeous, sensitive playing by a masterful Shostakovichian.

Really enjoyed this on my lunch break! As a Haydn/Dvorak devotee haven't explored Shostokovich as much as I would like. Wonderful music, sumptuously played.

So illuminating to see this performed live! As my edition of the score doesn't indicate much in terms of pedaling or fingering, I've listened to many recordings to figure it out, but seeing it performed here (and very beautifully) has a been a huge help. Bravo!
