He is one of my favorite artists. He really does look Scandinavian, in his expressions. The NY Dolls were actually good cross section of NYC for 1972: the original drummer, Billy Murcia (died in 72) was South American; Johnny Thunders (Genzale) was Italian, bassist Killer Kane was Swedish, rhythm guitarist Sylvain Sylvain (Sylvain Mizrahi) born in Egypt is Middle Eastern Jewish, then the second drummer Jerry Nolan was a nice Irish-Catholic lad). If they could have woven in an African-American, they would have covered all the continents!

Beatrice the Nibbler? I love it. I saw the Dolls in college. I was the only one in my dorm who liked them (I got the campy schtick) and caught a LOT of shit for it. But have taken a lot of satisfaction over the years for being right. I'm sure some of those same people now brag about seeing them. But back in the day . . . I also saw a David Jo show at the Bottom Line to promote his debut solo album. Peter Wolf was in the audience as well. DJ was so hot there were four (!) encores. After the second one, the band wouldn't let him leave the stage. They blocked every exit. He brought Johnny Thunders up onstage to play "Babylon" from Too Much, Too Soon. Johnny was so wasted he couldn't remember the chords to a song he wrote! Now that's a show.

@@CreamNall_ Exactly! I'm a millennial (27 currently) and My humor is dark and provocative, but it always triggers the whiny cultists of the modern day. and if something doesn't reflect my personal sense of humor, then I don't get hot about it. I just brush it off and move on. we all need to learn to laugh again. They say we laugh to keep from crying, but I think all people do nowadays is cry and whine and complain. but what could we expect from pigs but grunting? 😉

@@BPEJS24-7 You are the reason that society will continue into the future with a healthy attitude toward humour, dark or otherwise. In todays society , at 26, they are trying to smash the humour right out of you guys.. The best humour is always OFFSENSIVE.. because its mixed with that TABOO that we shouldnt really say those things, of COURSE we dont really mean them.. look at ricky gervais, if he believed every word of his jokes he would be the biggest assholes in history.. but of course hes not.. I am so very glad that they have not managed to pummel you under their social justice warrior thumbs. You really do give me hope for the future, thanks for replying my friend, you really have brightened my day. :) I know this sounded a little serious, i didnt mean it to be.. but i really do think there is some nefarious attempt at altering society for WHATEVER reason.. (without trying to sound like a tin foil hat wearer) I honestly think something is going on.. how else do you explain WOKE TV programs failing time after time.. losing BILLIONS of dollars in revenue.. YET!!! They continue to be made.. 4 seasons of BAT WOMEN!!!!! hitting an all time low of 3.5 on IMDB yet.. a non woke QUALITY show like 1899 get cancelled after 1 season!!??? Ive seen it happen time after time after time.. until someone explains WHY .. ill continue to think someone is pushing a WOKE agenda from behind the scenes.. cus SOMEONE is paying this WOKE HOLLYWOOD BILL!!! (sorry.. went a bit mental at the end.. hehe) stay safe.. and u keep listening to that dark humour.. darker the better :)

@@CreamNall_ (HERE'S A FREE NOVEL FOR YOU TO READ!) well thank you! lol don't worry about any tangents, I go on my fair share of them (you should see my KZbin comment history HA!) I agree 100%, they are always ruining things by "rebooting" series and remaking movies to better fit a WOKE agenda. Everybody's gotta be either ethnic, homosexual, trans, or some other social trend. I have noticed that when it comes to indoctrinative entertainment as i like to call it, and whenever history gets paid to change it's mind, and whenever anybody gets triggered and wants to whip out their cancelling lazer, it is most always the usual suspects: the LGBT+ Community, BLM, Muslims, or those that are not of those descriptions but want to play cheerleader. I don't get it. What egos to not be able to laugh at yourselves. To be fair, sometimes a person in those groups can put on their emotional colander and determine what a joke actually is.. Probably from memory of what their "boomer" parents tried to teach them before they gave in to peer pressure and became obnoxious robots. I have plenty of ideas for books, movies, shows, music etc. That are terribly offensive and while it is true that gauging your audience and their capacity for that type of material is important, I feel these days there is too much risk. I could lose my job or my way of life because the majority of humans are too narrow-minded and hypocritical to appreciate freedom of speech and differences of others despite what they claim. But of course, I also have tons of material that is light and cheesy, much like a nice warm bowl of cheddar soup on a cold night. You've gotta balance it out with some tame jokes, otherwise the offense-o-meter will stagnate if you let it sit too long or it will break it's hand off when EVERYTHING is meant to be dark. So always keep your hand firmly on the switch for when you offer a much-needed cool-off period, a fine chance for some fart jokes. You can get back to tearing down the flatscans of society and the media later. When it comes to Ricky, I personally don't find his material dark enough. When he's talking as himself about other topics, i am split. (Just as i would be with anyone.) I strongly disagree with his views on Religion but i do certainly agree with his feelings on animals and anti-natalism, respectively. Maybe one day, i can find just one individual that will give me a chance and let me do my thing without any judgment, restrictions, or snobby attitude. Don't think i've ever had anyone tell me that i have given them hope for the future.. Thanks man! 😁 haha I like to think I will be a breath of fresh air for we are a dying breed. You could consider me a comedic throwback. 😉😜 It's one of the reasons I am a loner and single by choice, is because everyone my age is WOKE and i can't relate to them at all. Young people are annoying. I plan on offending them most of all. 😃 Thanks for the encouragement and support. I like that you actually have proper discernment skills, a trait/quality that has unfortunately fallen the way of "common sense" which appears to not only be a relic of the past, but an oxymoron at that. Go figure. I am indeed only 26, but I have been called "boomer", "grandpa", and every kind of label, ism, and phobic in the book. Although I have a sense of humor so dark, that it picks . cotton, I do have a heart.. it just so happens to be dark too. (sometimes lol) I have a soft side as anyone should, it just doesn't fit the modern ideals. I just want everybody to laugh and have a good time, being the reason for that good time feels great. Self-Deprecation is my favorite type of humor tbh. some of my most offensive material is directed at myself. People get MOST offended by those jokes, I think because I say it before they can. lol it would feel even better to be able to say anything I wanted to without having to worry.. "was that a gunshot?" as far as me and my comedy is concerned, NOBODY IS SAFE! I grew up on Mad TV who never held back and were equal opportunity offenders. Still a treasure trove of REAL comedy to this day, especially these days! I want to be able to post here on KZbin, but we all know how sensitive this site is. I would never get by with it. I had my old account terminated by YT because of "hate speech" even though i never even uploaded a single video. 🙄 Anyway, thanks for the kind words and I wish you the best (no joke this time lol) feel free to stick with me on here as i may post some content that (hopefully) will be innocuous enough for ☪, ♀,♂ , 🏳‍🌈, 🏳‍⚧, 🧑‍🦼, ✊, ✡ etc. (I need that community tab so I can start my own cult.. I mean.. "community" 😉) Later! 👋 (keep in touch, no homo!)
