As a Brit with a longstanding interest in domestic politics, and more recently the more philosophical and academic notion ov politics, I thought Mr Lammy pretty underwhelming during his time ax z shadow minister. He's not great at the interactive, unscripted stuff - interviews, panel discussions, audience questions etc. He comes over as a bit hesitant, robotic and pompous. This speech clearly shows how that one bundle of skills is only a part of what a politician needs, and thst he's got of major skills from the other bundles. Bravo, Mr Lammy! Now let's see the fine words backed up with increased support for Ukraine. Push thd US as hard as possible for permission for us to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow and the other weapons systems we've supplied in the ways that merge Ukraine's needs today. Push as much budget as can possibly be squeezed from the Treasury into defence, and military aid for Ukraine. More urgency and desk thumping with European countries, to encourage them to do likewise. Publically call out and refute the Russian disinformation lines that keep popping up throughout western societies for the BS it is. Etc, etc. Much love and solidarity to Ukrainians everywhere.
