Single handedly my favorite training aid. I used to roll my forearms super quickly in the backswing, this helped me from the very first swing. Every range session or warm up before a round I use this on my pitching wedge to start, it’s just money.

I'm a bit surprised at some of the hate in the comments for training aids. I volunteer for two professional events and I see more and more training aids used by the pros. Alignment sticks, forearm balls, various plane sticks (Fleetwood's is insane), putting mirrors, putting strings, putting gates, flight scopes, etc. I walked with Molinari during a pro-am round and he used his flight scope on every tee box. Everyone is using video. I was particularly interested in this product because I struggle with getting the club inside early and compensating by pushing my hands outside. The thing I really like about this product is that it helped me create a "feel" for a good start to the swing. I still had to make some additional changes (eliminating compensations) to the rest of the backswing but I was able to achieve a good repeatable result. If someone stated the promotional content is heavy handed, I would agree but for a price that is less than a lesson I couldn't be happier. I like that I can always go back to this if I feel I'm drifting back to old habits. Thanks Eric! Great content and I agree with your recommendation. It would be interesting if someone agreed to a taped lesson where you use this aid.

I got this last summer. Can’t say enough about the Straight Away. I have a tendency to pull it inside a bit to quick which produces a heavy draw. When I re-calibrate with this aid, my 7,8,9,W are money. Think about it, the take away connects a perfect set up to a perfect position at the top. If this transition isn’t spot on, you will constantly be on the wrong side of the pin. It has transformed my ball striking and knowledge of the swing.

Thank you for a helpful instructional video .I purchase my first Straight Away over a year ago .I believe the visual concept can be quite helpful for some golfers .With that said ,your video is the first that show an alignment rod at the front of your shoes .While all the other advertisements videos only show the alignment rod behind the ball .So which is correct ? Thank you .Next issue is the device absolutely adds weight to the club during the swing . I honestly do not consider this a problem ,since it’s a training aid .Now most importantly is the issue of attachment and safety .Attachment to any golf club is not a problem .Having it stay on securely is a very important safety issue . As a teaching professional,I was NOT comfortable enough allowing students to swing while using it as the directions indicate .After hitting ONE ball the Red screws loosened up.A constant adjustment,which interfered in the lesson .More importantly the thought of the aid itself coming off the shaft during the back swing or downswing……I sent E mails to the company and commented in other videos .To learn how golfers or the company addressed this issue . Disappointing there was NO response . I decided that drilling two small holes through the aid and shaft then inserting two small bolts will secure it to my shaft .Please with both my success along with safety concerns .I have purchased an additional aid and attached it to a left handed club .These have become two valuable teaching aids . The investment in using two old 7 irons ,and the hard ware has been worth the effort. My last point was pricing,as I searched for my second aid the prices varied from $49 to $149 dollars See Amazon .I will consider the placement of the alignment stick during practice. Yes,you are correct ,there are a lot of training videos for this product .Respectfully submitted

Thank you for your honest review! Just a question: at 4:21, is that clubface not wide open? Or is that considered square to the path? I struggle mightily with hooks and at that particular point in the swing my clubface is way more shut than that. Maybe my understanding of square to the path needs a serious adjustment.
@CogornoGolf6 ай бұрын
That would still be pretty fair.....the POV view can make it tricky! The general goal is when you get the club parallel to the ground to have the leading edge of the club face roughly parallel to your back line

Having one, the added weight should be insignificant. If the added weight causes one problems or they can't forget about it and get on with their swings, then they've got far bigger problems than their take away😜😉 Regarding the visual cue versus auditory, I much prefer visual as that makes it super easy to imprint into my mind's eye🧠👁️ as I visualize my take away in my PSR. I divide the category into swing aids & golf gadgets, and this is most definitely a swing aid as my wife is a Class A and she guesstimates that 80-85%+ of her adult students(80% of her students are 5-12yo) have a poor take away. That pretty much guarantees that the rest of the swing is manipulations and compensations. She uses this aid with her students. Good stuff Brotha🤙 Continued Success🍻 RP

I'm interested. But one reservation I have is that when you swing at full speed it seems your shaft goes below your right forearm. Is it not supposed to go up the forearm for an ideal on-plane swing, with below the forearm being too inside, under the plane, and indicative of a slight wrist roll?

How does it compare to something like the laser one? It has two lasers, one pointing down and one up, you follow the line on the ground, first with the one pointing down, then the one pointing up. I don't want to link it here, but it's the Check Point Swing Laser.

Having a good takeaway can definitely make the overall swing more efficient... However, you don't need a training aid to make that happen. I think there's WAY to many gimmicks available. The promotion for this includes the words "secret" which I hate. "No choice but to finish your swing on track". "Consistently flush contact". Oh...ok! So this will cure everyone's bad sequnce and early extension... which is 95% of golfers biggest issue? Not going to happen. But.... I really think you do a good job overall on your channel.

I have one and it does work. ⛳🏌️ There is a drill David had in Faults and Fixes that replicates this very move. Him and Nick Price placed a second ball along ( and just inside)the target line about a foot behind the object ball. At that point you brush the second ball away on your move away and hit away. It really seems to work.
