I miss it too . They don't play music like this anymore . The small town I'm from , you can only pick up two radio stations . One plays good music , when it's on the air . Half the time it's off the air . The other one . One out of ten songs is a good song . The rest of it , well who knows ." What it is " ? But it ain't country . So I give up , and listen to my playlist on my phone .

It's like the sequel to "Friends in Low Places." Or that song's sister. Either way, I've loved it since it came out. Reminds me of cruising around Austin and Houston with my big brother back in the mid 90s. This song came on one time during the shuttle ride to Schlitterbahn back in 1995 and my brother and I just started belting it out. Next thing you know, the whole tram was singing! Great memories :) I know, I know... great story, bruh.

It's kind of hard to put into words the sensation I've got whenever I listen to one of David's songs. Maybe it's something like being away in the U.S. on vacation with my girlfriend, travelling all over the country by car. The year was 2000, when I found out David. I was looking for some country music on Napster (yes, downloading MP3 on Napster was in at that time hahaha), and then I got "The Road You Leave Behind". Man, I still try to understand why on Earth this talented musician isn't well known such as Alan Jackson or Brooks & Dunn. Well, at least here in Brazil, he isn't famous.

It does have an 80's country feel to it. When I heard it back when it was first released, I remember thinking it was an old gem I'd managed to miss somehow. It took me back to the 80s back in the 90s, and in 2019, it takes me to plain old happier times.

I got in a terrible car wreck 2 days ago that nearly took my life and I was listening to DLM's *Out With A Bang* CD when it happened and if I would've died I thank God at least I would've went listening to a true artist.

David Lee Murphy bares a resemblance to one of my uncles. Thank you for being the opening act for Brooks and Dunn. Kim R.Mackey😊
