Never forget who David Lee Roth is. He’ll rock your world and inspire you at the same time. He’s the ultimate front man and with no front, he fronts himself.

Wow, it really works. David's "shot" voice fits the theme in this song, making him the perfect narrator. And the other musicians are nailing it---first class all the way. I did not think anyone could get close to the original, but here it is, easily as good and with a hard, driving edge absent in the former.
@darrelleddington79483 жыл бұрын
Meh. Waylon Jennings did it better. 🤠

I'm with Darrell on this one. It's not that his voice is "shot" BTW. It's that he appears to be tonedeaf.

Notice how Dave's material, both originals and covers, not only have spirit and rockability, but they also show a rare gift for melody and a sense of beauty.😊 Dave KNOWS this song and understands EXACTLY why it's such a rocking number and a gorgeous tune at the same time! A lesser performer covering this song would have left out that little "stardust sparkling" you hear four times sweeping the chorus like a dream drifting past, thinking it "untrendy" and "uncool". But not Dave - he leaves it in because he knows it's a gorgeous touch that is one of the most important reasons why the song works its spell and he feels its beauty. A natural, ingenious, entertaining, hilarious, all around wonderful music maker. And my life would have missed out on a lot of happiness without him. God bless you, Dave.😊

Might have been, I suppose, when he did those Mambo Slammer outtakes like "My Old School" and "Love TKO" instead of '02 when he released it on the BBQ. Didn't necessarily have to be recorded that same year of course.

Quite a few people wonder or they should. WHY CLICK ON ANY VIDEO WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO BASH IT ?? It happens to anything Roth does. Did he poke your mother back in the day or what ? Seriously though , do people see a video and think ......I'm going to watch this and gonna say he sucks , he sucks, I've never liked him , he's never had talent and Eddie carried him......wtf ? The only problem I have with the guy is I would love to be able to have done half the things he has . Like traveling every corner of the world. Explore jungles, etc.
