“Dave, who are you gonna get to replace EVH?” He literally goes and gets Jack Butler, the devil’s guitar player, fresh from a gig in the underworld. Genius, and we all benefited from it. This lineup was phenomenal.

Greg was ok in the studio but seemed out of place. My biggest beef with Greg is you can’t find a live recording where he’s not rushing like he’d already dipped into the Peruvian snow backstage.
