I got TAG1&2 for Christmas and when I finally killed the dark lord which meant I had played the entire DOOM franchise from E1M1 all the way to killing the Dark Lord. To say it was rewarding was an extreme understatement.

I played this song on full blast after beating world spear master level on ulta-nightmare, marking me truly 100% LITERALLY EVERYTHING in doom eternal. What a damn special game.

You can say a lot about the final boss but personally, I think this was one of the most deeply satisfying endings I've seen in a video game, at least in a long time. This song hits hard but it also feels so victorious, and rewarding. You've finally killed the Dark Lord after damn near 30 years of shooting and surviving, and Hell as you know it is doomed to suffer till the end for everything he's done. It just leaves you feeling amazing, especially from 2:07 onward. Like you've honestly accomplished something and it was so worth it in the end.

If you watch the credits to the very end the intern says something about Hugo Martin and Marty Stratton and how the ID Software team thanks you for playing
