RIP Mr. Lynch. Came here soon after I heard the news and it helped me feel better.

I don't know why everyone's hating the lyrics and vocals so much. They have such a weird, eerie feeling, just like his films. I love it, it's so different. It's kind of telling a story but we don't get to know it completely, we just receive short snippets of information out of context. What a great mood builder

Lynch is a multitalented artist.. everything he does is both bizarre and wonderful. There's a UNITY in his art. Maybe he wants to tell us only ONE whole story.

I truly love this song because there are people who have heard this and made their own judgements on what the song is about. I heard some say it's about a party gone wrong, others imply it's about drunk driving. This is real art, art that makes you think.

It's so weird but interesting at the same time. Just like his films. :) The lyrics/dialogue makes me laugh but the mood of the melody is awesome.

I'm kind of surprised that people are complaining about the voice. Considering Lynch's body of work, how can you expect his singing to be "top chart"? The man has a knack for the disturbing and the strange, and it applies to his music as well. It is -not- intended to be "pleasant" to listen to. I'd say it's safe to assume the complaints are not coming from his existing fan-base.

Listening to his music, I can just picture Lynchian images going with it - it's like I'm creating a David Lynch film inside my imagination whilst I listen to this. Personally, I feel this is like a combination of Lost Highway and INLAND EMPIRE.

A good director is not always a good musician. Music is like a movie, without any picture. That's scene you make yourself in your own mind. Cinema needs music but music don't need cinema.

....who said the vocals suck? Then stop listening, you'll never understand it anyway. This not meant to be easy music like you bubblegummers dance to on Saturday night while drinking yourself into oblivion right before wrapping mommies car around the nieghbors tree. This is deep psychlogical introspection from the mad-mad mind of Lynch. If you don't get it, just move along, and let those of who do, enjoy it for what it is.

First time I heard this song was on I think the public radio I was in prison; federal prison if that is important, I remember the interviewer saying that to0 her it almost seemed as if the song was someone who was a killer and this song was his romp through these people, and Lynch said that he thought that was interesting. The interviewer asked if that was a correct way to see the whole and Lynch said it sounds like a way to understand the song and the album.

David should get together with Genesis P'Orridge, Daniel Johnston, and Roky Erickson. Now that would be something. Intro, Interludes, and Outro by The Butthole Surfers. I could see it all now.

Loving the distorted backing vocals, Interesting lyrics and Twin Peaks backing track. However the album actually sounds all the way through it's bound to be better than "LULU" without being self proclaiming about it's artist worth.

@Re1Mu2R3 i imagine the narrative of the lyrics being like... this quiet weirdo homeless guy who lurks in the background of the bar while this wild scene goes on at a crazy show or something... then this is him recounting the night to you through his hazy memory... and the music basically paints the backdrop of this sort of hazy smokey blurry chopped up frame to frame recollection, with a lot of missing bits. i imagine an unsuccessful police interrogation with a lunatic witness. hahaha
