I know, right? So few words and yet such a clearly communicated emotional response. It's rather dream-like really... Ever had a dream where you're unaware that you're dreaming, and then you notice a detail that feels "off" somehow, and the moment you do, the veil is lifted and you know you're dreaming?

Very interesting that the crew wears shoe covers to protect the set floor; I didn't expect that but now it seems to me a proper thing to do. Oh, and I adore that black dress on Ms. Lee here, so elegant and simple. It's nice to see its full length. She really has a natural beauty and it's somehow improving with the passing of time. I want to make David Lynch eternal, or at least have one of his kids make more Twin Peaks story material once in a while ... just keep it going on and on.

@eduardo_corrochio
@eduardo_corrochio 2 жыл бұрын
Lynch may have wanted to do something rather different with this chunk of his story, and not have it too similar to seasons 1 and 2 where Coop was such the focus. He could've been playing with audience expectations. Or ... he knew we wanted a lot of Dale but he sadistically withheld him by putting a teensy bit of him in Dougie. We the audience are in such suspense throughout this season hoping that Cooper will break free and "arrive" on the scene. It does come very late in the tale. Have to say, for Kyle MacLachlan, playing Dougie had to have been such a cool challenge ... almost like playing someone with a head injury or mental disability. Kyle really shined there. And being DoppelCooper had to be a fun because he was so different from Dougie.
@sliceserve234
@sliceserve234 10 ай бұрын
Complete agreement. WAY WAY WAY too much Dougie crap. Lynch probably felt he needed to present both the stripped down bad Coop and the stripped down good Coop for balance, but the bad Coop scenes all work well, and the good Coop scenes just drag on and on and on.

I feel that with Lynch films I don't find it necessary or even that I want to watch anything from behind the scenes.. To me, it takes away from what I just watched. I've been a Lynch advocate since I saw Dune when it was released in theaters or Elephant Man the day it was a brand new release on VHS. I highly enjoy listening to Lynch speak about the stories but not from a interviewer or behind the scenes. That's just how it's always been for me.

Who even is Carrie Page? What happened to Laura Palmer? All we know is that she went missing on the night she should've been murdered, wrapped in plastic, and dumped next to the log near Kiana Lodge. The last known person to have seen her alive is Ronette Pulaski, as documented by Agent Tamara Preston in "The Final Dossier"; "The next day, Ronette Pulaski-the girl who was abducted and nearly killed along with Laura, and who had apparently still been taken captive-escaped and ended up in the hospital after being found wandering along a railroad trestle, just like “before.” But she also testified that Laura had wandered off into the woods before she and Leo and Jacques entered the railroad car. Laura was never there."

They both have insane and awesome visions, and the story of twin peaks really isn’t that complex if you understand the core themes that Lynch expands upon over the course of the series. Lynch’s surrealism isn’t just some Chris Nolan time fuckery that’s only there to confuse the audience. Lynch movies are more like a jigsaw puzzle. Even though it can be overwhelming at first, once you get the ends together the bigger picture becomes increasingly easier to put together.
@curiositytax9360
@curiositytax9360 3 ай бұрын
@@dhdhejehuwbs843Tarantino is a gimp haha. The eternal 14 year old. Majority of his characters sound like 14 year old virgins. No offence but saying Nolan manipulates time to confuse you and Lynch doesn’t is silly. You sound like a ‘fan’. Lynch is way more surrealist obviously but they are similar filmmakers with Nolan using a Spielberg sensibility to reach the biggest of audiences. Both are interested in relativity and quantum mechanics clearly. Cinema is very close to relativity. It was invented just before relativity and was first instance of breaking linear time before relativity was discovered. The big missing piece here is Nic Roeg. Funny you should mention it because his films are also like jigsaw puzzles. I don’t like Nolan’s films very much but I find it impressive that he can use high concept ideas like Nic Roeg would do or even Lynch but in a commercial blockbuster. Lynch failed when he tried to do that with Dune because it’s hard but for me personally it’s a waste of time anyway as I’m not interested in that but cinema needs to bring in the big audiences and big money so what can you do? I’d rather it be Nolan than Zack Snyder or some other abomination. Nolan is a mainstream director. Lynch is on the fringes of being a mainstream director. He has a larger place in the mainstream through pop culture, not his films specifically, although his films in the world of cinema make him a god almost but in mainstream he’s just seen as a weirdo basically. More people will see Nolan’s films than Lynch’s always. That’s just they way it is sadly. Roeg’s The Man Who Fell To Earth is a very important film to both these filmmakers. A core theme of Twin Peaks was born out of the famous television scene in Man Who Fell and that scene has both David Bowie and Candy Clark in it and only them. They both appear in Twin Peaks at some point and they don’t exactly have large filmographies.

The All has shown me the fall of the dark tower for which it once rose it must fall. For their time was then and our time is now. Theirs is also now and ours then. The balance. The rise and fall. Their tides of misery return to the ocean of misery where they belong to once again return when your resting on the shore. Be weary but confident that they can not harm you. You are strong and they are weak. They appear strong but really are weak. Learn. Love. Create. You are All.

Sheryl Lee looks fantastic. Lara Flynn Boyle was my favourite, from the first series, as Donna. And in Red Rock West, with Nicholas Cage. There were some horrible pictures of her, in the tabloids, or on the Internet, recent ones. She looked quite ill, but her publicist said she was fine, they were just bad looking photographs. I hope she is okay. Sheryl Lee looks shit-hot. Fit as fuck. Even better than she did in the film, Fire Walk With Me, and she was pretty amazing in that. I wish I was David Lynch. He gets to meet all the sexiest, most beautiful women. Jammy Bugger. 😘

Lara Flynn Boyle is not sick, she just had a lot of work done on her face and it doesn't look good.

I am glad I am an awful actor so I don't get asked to be in scenes like this. I enjoy the show but man I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face watching her walk backwards.
